The property

Soundings, a three-storey detached house on Raleigh Road, is situated within a short walk of Salcombe’s restaurants, upmarket shops and waterside.

This property has a well-equipped kitchen with black granite worktops, a Stoves range cooker featuring a five-ring induction hob, two ovens, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Meanwhile the dining table seats eight and bi-folding doors open to the rear terrace and garden area.

The sitting room boasts double sofas, a television and French doors which open out onto the balcony.

The snug has a TV, bean bags and various board games.

There are four bedrooms in total; the first is a King with an en-suite shower room featuring a w.c., wash-hand basin, heated towel rail, shaver point and underfloor heating.

The second, a double, has plenty of storage and a television.

The third bedroom has a king-size bed, panoramic views, separate dressing room and an en-suite with shower room with w.c., wash-hand basin, heated towel rail, shaver point and underfloor heating.

There is an additional twin bedroom ideally for children. On the ground floor is a spacious family bathroom with shower, bath, w.c., basin, heated towel rail, shaver point and underfloor heating.

To the rear is a private lawn and stone terrace which is ideal for al fresco dining.

There is off-road parking for two medium sized cars and wi-fi is available.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
