    “We had a fantastic time in Villa 8, Estura, Salcombe.”

    Very well equipped and comfortable property. Only downside was that there's not enough seating in the living area for 8 people. We moved the 2 bedroom armchairs up to the living area so that everyone had somewhere to sit in the evenings when we all gathered together to relax. Outstanding views from the estuary facing rooms and a very peaceful, tranquil location. We were very lucky with the weather but to be honest, Salcombe is beautiful no matter what's happening outside. Outstanding views from the estuary facing rooms and a very peaceful, tranquil location. We were very lucky with the weather but to be honest, Salcombe is beautiful no matter what's happening outside. The Coast and Country offices were also very helpful when we had a small issue with a smoke alarm (we burned the toast!).

The property

Directly overlooking the stunning Salcombe Estuary, Villa 8, Estura is part of a landmark development of luxury properties in one of the region’s most beautiful and exclusive waterside settings, just a five-minute walk from Salcombe’s pretty waterfront.

The main entrance to the villa is into a hallway at ground floor level 2, off which are two en suite bedrooms.

On the first floor is an elegant hand-crafted kitchen equipped to the very highest standard with designer units, quartz worksurfaces, a range of Miele equipment and a boiling hot water tap, making self-catering a real pleasure (other facilities include a ceramic hob, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer). The room opens out into a delightful lounge/dining area with large table seating eight comfortably, sofas, armchairs and flatscreen Smart TV.

Tri-folding doors open out to the balcony and panoramic views across the estuary. At ground floor level is a magnificent master bedroom with super-King-size bed and en suite shower room, as well as a further en suite double with King-size bed.

At lower ground floor there is a third double with King-size four-poster bed, and a children's room to the rear with two single beds.

In addition to the two en suites is a further family bathroom - adjacent to the children's bedroom - on the lower ground floor. The property has a good-sized balcony off the sitting area with stunning views across the estuary towards Millbay and East Portlemouth beaches.

Allocated parking for one car is available.

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
