The property

Yardarm is a delightful, period town house in Salcombe, which has been tastefully refurbished to provide a high standard of accommodation.

The property enjoys glimpses of the Salcombe estuary from the lounge and master bedroom and is ideal for a family or couple looking for a central location to explore the town and picturesque waterfront, which are just a short walk away. A flight of steps lead up from the parking area to the ground floor entrance and hallway with access to two bedrooms, family bathroom and utility room.

The bathroom has a bath with shower over, w.c and basin.

Stairs lead up to the light and airy first floor living area with two large comfortable sofas, dining area , flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD.

Sliding patio windows open out to the small balcony with estuary glimpses.

The contemporary kitchen features granite worktops, an electric oven and 4-ring halogen hob, large fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher.

There are four bedrooms in total.

On the ground floor is a double room with King-size bed and New England style furniture, with sliding patio doors leading to a full-length balcony.

Also, on this floor is a twin room with two single beds and patio doors leading on to the balcony.

On the second floor are two further bedrooms.

The master has a King-size bed and Juliet balcony with glimpses of the estuary and Batson Creek.

A second twin room has two single beds.

Adjacent to the master bedroom is a shower room with w.c and wash-hand basin, with a further shower room located off the utility room which houses the washing machine and tumble dryer.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
