The property

In the pretty village of South Milton Devon you will find Honeysuckle Cottage, a delightful mid-terraced cottage enjoying a peaceful rural setting.

Thurlestone is 2 miles and Kingsbridge 4 miles away.

The cottage is well situated for a couple or a family of three to enjoy a holiday in this beautiful part of Devon with on-street parking and easy access to several nearby beaches.

Passing through the front door you enter the beautifully light and sunny conservatory with a dining area for three.

There is convenient storage for boots and coats in this area.

Through the conservatory you will enter the open plan sitting room and the well equipped galley kitchen.

The sitting room provides a comfortable seating for four with two armchairs and large two-seater sofa.

You can relax in front of the flat screen TV and flame effect wood burning stove, which provides a warm glow in the evening.

The galley kitchen provides an excellent space to prepare meals for those wishing to eat in and is well stocked with everything you need for a self-catering stay.

The kitchen door leads across a path to a shed which houses a washing machine and provides storage for holiday items such as surf boards, wetsuits and golf clubs.

A straight wooden staircase leads to the first floor where you will find a comfortable double bedroom with views overlooking the village and a single bedroom with views over open countryside.

You will also find the bathroom on this floor with a walk-in shower.

Honeysuckle Cottage has a beautifully maintained terraced garden offering seating for outside dining.

From here you can enjoy views over the surrounding countryside and glimpse the sea from the bottom terrace.

Be sure to explore the nearby National Trust beach at South Milton with the Beach House serving fresh seafood and local wines.

Thurlestone is just a pleasant walk away where you can stock up at the local convenience store, enjoy a pub lunch at The Village Inn or indulge in afternoon tea at the Thurlestone Hotel.

For golf enthusiasts there are three nearby golf courses, the closest being Thurlestone Golf Club.

A little further away is Bigbury Golf Club with stunning views of the River Avon, Bantham beach and Burgh Island.

The latter operates a unique sea tractor at high tide to ferry visitors back and forth.

Dartmouth Golf Club is a little further away but well worth a visit for those wishing to explore the area.

The pretty market town of Kingsbridge is a short drive from South Milton and offers local independent shops, eateries and a picturesque estuary.

Check out Salcombe, a popular tourist destination known for it's beautiful golden beaches, the freshest seafood around, artisan shops and delicatessens.

The South Hams AONB is home to so much more to see from its nature reserves, including Bolberry Down, to its quaint towns and villages such as Bigbury-on-Sea and Hope Cove.

The picturesque village of Thurlestone is popular with both beach-goers and watersports enthusiasts, with the beautiful sandy beaches of Thurlestone and South Milton Sands within walking distance. Thurlestone boasts an 18-hole links golf course, a 13th century church, a traditional pub, a post office and the ‘Voyage Spa’, where visitors can enjoy spa treatments or afternoon tea. The sailing town of Salcombe is just a 10-15 minute drive away, and the fishing village of Hope Cove is a short drive away, or can be reached on foot via the South West Coast Path.

Children must be supervised in the garden, the very last terrace has a steep drop to the road
