    “We had a lovely week at the Beech Hut - nicely appointed with more than we needed.”

    The owner Shane was welcoming, and very helpful - the hut is at the end of his garden, very quiet only waking to sounds of the birds in the morning. There were only two things I thought were needed - a door hook for the front patio doors so they could be left open without swinging in the wind, and a shelf in the shower to accommodate bottles etc. We were blessed with good weather, and enjoyed the local beaches at South Milton and Bantham.

An electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher are within the well equipped kitchen.

Two sofas and a Smart TV are in place in the living area, allowing you to relax and enjoy your favourite shows or movies.

Games are provided for old fashioned family fun on rainy days.

Relax in the beautifully kept gardens with a cool beverage on the private decking, listening to the stream bubble away in the background and watch the wildlife in the fields beyond.

Retire inside as the sun sets and freshen up in the modern shower room before choosing between two bedrooms, both of which have huge windows that let in plenty of natural light.

In the morning, you may want to stretch your legs with a stroll to South Milton Sands, where you can bathe, try your hand at watersports, or wait for the breathtaking sunsets over Thurlestone Rock, while enjoying a beachfront supper at the Beachhouse café, or a fun beach barbeque.

Or, you may want to collect your eggs from the local farm for a delicious breakfast on the patio.

A short drive will take you to the village of Thurlestone, which has everything you need, including a traditional pub where you can enjoy locally sourced dishes, a post office and a convenience store for the essentials.

There is also the highly regarded links Golf Course, where you can put your golf or tennis skills to the test and a family run hotel offering one of the best cream teas in the area.

The South West Coast Path is also close by, which may be explored on foot or on bike.

The famous Paignton zoo, the Aquapark, Torquay and Woodlands Family adventure centre are a drive away, for those wanting a different family experience.

Visit Salcombe, which is home to a variety of attractions, from the famous Salcombe Gin Distillery, offering tours and mixing lessons, to the National Trust attractions of Snapes Point and Overbecks.

Salcombe offers endless possibilities for great restaurants, shops, boating or even just watching the world go by.
