Saint Elmo Court is perfectly suited for our needs being quiet, midway between Overbecks NT and the lovely coastal walks and Salcombe itself. The swimming pool is an added bonus.

The lift sulked at times as it could not imagine anyone wanting to go to the first floor! Just two of us occupied the property for most of the time although our daughter, who lives and works in Devon, joined us for two nights. My wife and I are in our mid 80's and the Salcombe terrain was somewhat daunting.

It is a wonderful location, the flats are clean and high functioning and the kids love the pool. The only area I would like to see addressed is maintenance of kitchen utensils and equipment in Flat 9. Several items were broken when we arrived and the knives appear not to have been sharpened in years - and no way of addressing this ourselves.

“Although I have rated as excellent I did feel for the price we paid for this accomodation that it needed a little attention, The en-suite bathroom had a mix match of taps, the sink was chrome taps however the rest of the furniture was worn out brass effect, also the bottom shower door could do with a good clean.”
Whilst the lounge area was very clean I also felt that the furniture would benefit for an upgrade. On a positive note the kitchen was faultless it was well equipped with everything you would need.

Valley View, a tastefully furnished first-floor apartment, boasts access to a heated outdoor swimming pool and is located within St Elmo Court, a sought-after development within Salcombe.
There is a large, comfortably furnished lounge / dining room with a two-seater sofa, TV, DVD player and hi-fi.
The dining space has a table with six chairs and leads through to the kitchen.
Appliances in the kitchen include: electric oven, gad hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
The property has sliding doors lead out to a sun terrace with a table, chairs and parasol – the perfect spot for al fresco dining in the South Devon sunshine!
The attractive master bedroom features a King-size bed, lovely views and a large en-suite with bath, shower, hand basin, bidet, w.c and shaver point.
The second room has twin zip ‘n’ link beds (can be joined on request), a TV and plenty of clothes storage.
Adjacent to this bedroom is a shower room.
St Elmo residents can enjoy the exclusive use of a heated outdoor swimming pool which is open from early May to late September.
There is parking for one car, however additional parking may be available during low season.
There is a lift to this apartment.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
