The property

Lee Cottage is a charming 17th Century Grade II cottage, full of original character features, situated in the traditional village of Stokenham, just a five minute drive from the picturesque Start Bay coastline. The cottage is accessed via stone steps leading down from the parking area (for one car) into a small ground floor lobby.

All the living accommodation is on this level.

The well equipped galley kitchen has fitted units, wooden worktops, Belfast sink, four ring Neff halogen hob and electric oven.

Cosy sitting/dining room has a feature fireplace with wood-burning stove, comfortable seating, plus a wooden dining table with bench seating and chairs. Also on the ground floor is the newly refurbished family bathroom, with a bath and ceiling mounted rainhead shower.

A lovely oak staircase leads up to the two first floor bedrooms.

Bedroom one is a double with King-size bed.

An additional day bed is available for an extra toddler on request.

Bedroom two is a twin room with two wooden framed single beds. Outside, there is a small furnished terrace directly outside the cottage.

In addition, there is a small garden set a few metres from the cottage down a cobbled path and over a very quiet lane.

The garden adjoins the village green and contains a patio area, lawn, fire pit, log store and picnic table.

Wireless broadband internet is now available, This cosy, charming cottage provides delightful accommodation for those looking for a convenient base, from which to enjoy the beautiful Start Bay coastline.

Stokenham has been well-known for its fishing and farming and has recently become a very popular tourist destination for its beautiful beaches and charming buildings. It is a parish honing seven other settlements, Stokenham itself offers two good pubs including one thatched pub from the 14th century, as well as an ancient church and Manor House. The area of Devon is brimming with beautiful locations, some of the best within driving distance are Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Plymouth, all delightful destinations.
