We had a really relaxing time and the views were stunning.

It would be very hard to fault anything about this house. Thank you for a very nice week away.

Rosemary “This house ticked al the right boxes, the wow factor as you walked in and the more you saw of the house the better it got.”
We spent most of our time chilling in the fantastic conservatory enjoying the magnificent view. It was so peaceful,Lovely and clean lovely and comfortable. All the amenities you needed from cooking to games and books for enjoyment including a table tennis. Downstairs bathroom was a great feature and a lovely large garden. We loved it
- Rosemary, March 2020Hilary “Oven was dirty and greasy used roasting tin inside.”
Oven racks had crusty food on. Bathroom bin had previous guests rubbish in. Other than that house was clean. House is lovely and well equipped. Location great would stay again.(shame about dirty oven)
- Hilary, February 2020Rhea “The cottage was beautiful and the scenery was breathtaking.”
The pictures in the photos don’t do it justice. Thoroughly recommend to anyone considering this area. Not far from two beaches, out of Landcombe lane and turn left there’s a beach less than a mile away with parking and a couple shops. The town isn’t far away, parking can be tricky to find but we visited during a food festival. Lovely cottage and there’s as much to do in the cottage as outside. Well taken care of and cleaned to a high standard. Very impressed.
- Rhea, October 2019Clare “We absolutely loved our week at Seaway House.”
It was rainy during our stay but that didn’t matter as the house was comfortable we were happy to spend time in it. Plus we loved the table tennis table! The house is near the main road but set back, so it’s easy to get to places but you can’t hear the road. Excellent views of the sea. I loved spotting the fishing boats at night. We didn’t want for anything extra- the house is fully equipped with everything you need. It isn’t on the list of items available in the house but it’s worth noting that there were 2 travel cots stored in one of the wardrobes (one of them the Graco brand) and there is a changing mat. There is a pub and restaurant in the village which are within walking distance but the first section of the walk is on the road (no pathway).
- Clare, September 2019Pamela “It was the perfect place for our Family reunion with our Dartmouth relations.”
Sadly I became more relient on my wheelchair shortly before we arrived (was still walking with just a stick when we booked) so struggled a little with the stairs and using the downstairs shower as I needed assistance to go in and out with no handrails, However we did manage. The views were fantastic and a wonderful way to wake up to which we all appreciated. The week went so quickly and we all felt very at home in this beautiful cottage.
- Pamela, May 2019Alyson “Seaway House is a beautiful, well-equipped and comfortable house, conveniently situated near Dartmouth.”
The online photos don't really do the sea views justice. Its location near the South West coastal path means you can walk to nearby beaches without using the main coastal road, which isn't really suitable for walking. It can get steep walking down to the beach and back again, but it's worth it when you get there. Dartmouth was less than four miles away and the park and ride bus service made parking easy. A highlight was the ferry from Dartmouth quay to the castle - a lovely way to see the town, and Kingswear across the river. We were very lucky with the weather and spent the Easter weekend on the beach, but as the weather began to turn later in the week the views of the sky and sea from the house were stunning. A very relaxing week.
- Alyson, April 2019Maggie “Seaway House is always clean, well equipped and near to many beautiful beaches.”
Thank you a lovely relaxing week.
- Maggie, April 2019Elizabeth “The house is lovely with very nice interiors, well equipped kitchen and beautiful views.”
Walking distance from good beaches but also games and table tennis for bad weather days. Good value.
- Elizabeth, December 2018Mrs C M Breeze “Excellent”
- Mrs C M Breeze, Oct 2018“Well maintained property, great location and wonderful person responsible for managing the property”
- , Sep 2017Mr Martin Wys “Beautiful house.”
Well equipt and good facilities with everything you need for a holiday. Clean and tidy. Well looked after, and would stay again.Gorgeous views, and close to beach.Just one hiccup... becareful of slipping on rugs on laminated floor! We did move them as one member fell over.
- Mr Martin Wys, Sep 2017“Exceptionally clean and tidy on arrival.”
- , Aug 2017Ms Mel Wiltshire “The house was wonderful.”
We have stayed there several times & always enjoy.
- Ms Mel Wiltshire, Jul 2017“Comfortable accommodation with the most amazing surroundings and views.”
Beautifully designed and furnished yet comfortable and homely. We hope to return.
- , Apr 2017“Excellent value for money”
- , Oct 2016Mrs L Turner “Excellent accomadation.”
Very spacious with stunning views. Well equipped with cutlery, crockery etc. We thoroughly enjoyed waking up to the view every morning and spent a lot of time on the balcony with our coffee or lunch. The kitchen is a tad on the compact side, only made for one to use at once. The walk along the main road to the village was a bit hazardous, but generally we had a lovely relaxing stay
- Mrs L Turner, Oct 2016“Great location, fantastic views and a very comfortable base for our holiday.”
- , Aug 2016“Nice cottage & location.”
Seating could be improved to be more comfortable & seating for the balcony for more than 2 would have been used. Enjoyed the table tennis table.
- , Jul 2016Jan Carney “Loved Seaway House.”
Very clean and beautiful views. A criticism would be for a house which sleeps six people, there were only 2 coat hangers! We had to purchase 12 hangers! Nowhere to hang clothes in one of the bedrooms so had to share with one of the other rooms - wasn't a problem but a bit tiresome.
- Jan Carney, Jul 2016yvonne “Great place to stay, very clean, great garden, great views.”
The only draw back the garden needed some kind of lighting, to be able to sit out at night with a drink.
- yvonne, Jul 2016“This is a superb little cottage with sea views.”
Its piece de resistance is the full width conservatory where we spent most of our 'at home' time, our daughter and granddaughter loved it. Nice garden. Kitchen smallish but workable, Spacious and comfortable bedrooms. Downstairs shower room a bonus. The only negative are the directions, they take you down a very narrow cart track, use the A379, much safer.
- , Jun 2016Helen “We loved Seaway House, all the properties we have stayed in have been good but this was the best.”
The views of the sea from the balcony are breathtaking. We look forward to visiting again soon.
- Helen, Jun 2016MEL “We have stayed at this house previously & it didn't disappoint .”
It is so clean, beautiful views & generally a wonderful relaxing place. We will definitely return.
- MEL, May 2016Lynda Allis “Seaway House was everything we hoped for,it was absolutely immaculate when we arrived, the bed was so comfy and what a joy in the morning to open the French doors and walk out onto the balcony.”
The conservatory was lovely for the cooler days and although the kitchen is small it had everything we needed to self cater. If we had a critiscm at all it would be that it was very cold when we arrived with no instructions about the heating ,so we had to do a bit of hunting around before we could sort that out, also it would have been nice if there had been a note just to say where the nearest supplier of logs were, after a fairly long journey,we had to go out again to buy some.(It was the local shop). The views were gorgeous and it was very convenient for Dartmouth ,Slapton Sands ,Dittisham and the Salcombe area. The village was a few minutes stroll away, there is a small friendly shop and the local pub did lovely food, excellent service.
- Lynda Allis, May 2016Mr Steve Coggan “The positives - great location, find sea views, lovely garden, comfortable beds & spacious, just a few niggles - 'BBQ' was left in a dirty state by previous occupants, there was an acute lack of crockery (cups, mugs, bowls & all cutlery,) this negated the convenience of the dishwasher since due to the lack of facilities we had to wash items up after every meal.”
This was flagged up to 'Coast & Country Cottages' who didn't bother to respond? There is also an unmarked step down into the kitchen area from the back door with neither a hand rail nor warning sign, the white floor tiles made it difficult to see the fairly high step down, unfortunately my elderly mother fell flat on her face onto the concrete tiled floor badly bruising her arms & leg, this needs to be attended to most urgently & at least marking the edges to the step in another colour for people with impaired vision. The Lounge furniture was also most uncomfortable & low to sit on.
- Mr Steve Coggan, Jul 2015“Superb house, lovely gardens and views”
- , Jun 2015“Beautiful house, met all our needs, for three generations”
- , May 2015“Beautiful property in a wonderful location with glorious foods.”
Just the place for R&R. The only downfall was no rubbish collection even though the bin was left out all week?!
- , Jan 2015“Lovely house with beautiful views.”
There did seem to be a bit of a problem with flies in the sun room - lots came in and died on the windowsills which wasn't that pleasant. The house was generally well equipped although it would have been good to have had a salt/pepper grinder provided - we had to go out and buy our own. Also for a house sleeping 6 there was a shortage of mugs/glass tumblers - the minimum we would expect would be 6 but it in reality it would be good to have a few extra such that they didn't have to be rescued from the dishwasher every time!
- , Nov 2014“Lovely spacious property, however it was very remote and too far out of Dartmouth and meant taxis at additional cost.”
Being in Dartmouth centre which would have been our preference but had to change property as per comment above.
- , Oct 2014“We loved the house, immaculate inside, extremely comfortable, great location, can't wait to go back next year.”
- , Jul 2014The property
