    is a great location & generally is lovely but there are a few little things that need to be sorted in order to get it up to scratch - very minor items but would make the difference : ...

    is a great location & generally is lovely but there are a few little things that need to be sorted in order to get it up to scratch - very minor items but would make the difference : i) there are quite a few stains on the cream carpet (I did try to send you some photos when I first got there but not sure they went through), ii) lots (and I mean lots) of the plates, bowls & even mugs are chipped (at least 10 items), iii) the cutlery is all miss matched (I guess this is standard for holiday lets - but a cheap set from Ikea wouldn't go amiss), iv) the pillows are mainly feather (which was a problem for our daughter who is allergic - so we had to go out & buy pillows for her), v) there are no blackout blinds/material in the curtains - this means that it is bright daylight at 5am in the bedrooms (a couple of blackout roller blinds would make a huge difference in the twin rooms - especially if you have children in those rooms), the curtains in the main bedroom need lining with blackout material vi) the cooker makes a buzzing/humming noise constantly (unless you turn it off at the wall which we did when we weren't using it) vii) the fridge does not work properly - you did provide an alternative fridge in the utility room but it was smaller than the main fridge. You also sent someone to look at the main fridge (built in) and twice the knob was turned back to setting 4 and the temperature in the fridge was back up to 10degrees when we returned to the apartment (not great for our food in there ... crab, cream etc) This isn't meant to be moan - but points where I think the property could/should be improved with minimal effort - apart from the fridge which is a big pain. We are very grateful for your constructive cristism regarding the issues you have raised during your stay, we unfortunately did not receive photos of the carpet and apologise that the plates and mugs were all chipped, and the curtains are not lined, this feedback will be sent to the owner and will hopefully be addressed. For your future reference, please always alert us immediately if you are not satisfied upon your arrival as this will give us the opportunity to rectify issues imminently. The property

A bright, airy first floor apartment with a lovely balcony furnished and decorated to a high standard throughout.

Occupying a superb village position close to Thurlestone Golf Club, tennis courts, pub and store the property is within a few minutes’ walk to the South West Coast path and a number of excellent sandy beaches. A flight of steps leads up from the communal entrance to the apartment into the first floor and hallway off which is a utility room with washer/dryer and sink.

The kitchen area is well equipped with an integral electric oven and microwave, four ring electric hob, large fridge/freezer and dishwasher.

The dining area has a dining table and six chairs with a pine dresser and iPod docking station.

The comfortable lounge area has a three-seater sofa, two armchairs, flat screen digital TV/DVD player and patio doors that lead out to a good size balcony with metal table, chairs and a bench.

Three bedrooms in total.

The master bedroom is a spacious double room with a New England style King-size bed and furniture and patio doors leading to the balcony.

The superb en suite bathroom has a bath, shower (over), 'his and hers' wash basins, shaver point, w.c.

and heated towel rail.

The second bedroom has two single beds, wardrobe and bedside tables.

Bedroom three also has twin beds, wardrobe and bedside tables.

In addition to the en suite there is a family bathroom with a bath with shower over, w.c., wash-hand basin and mirror with shaving point.

The picturesque village of Thurlestone is popular with both beach-goers and watersports enthusiasts, with the beautiful sandy beaches of Thurlestone and South Milton Sands within walking distance. Thurlestone boasts an 18-hole links golf course, a 13th century church, a traditional pub, a post office and the ‘Voyage Spa’, where visitors can enjoy spa treatments or afternoon tea. The sailing town of Salcombe is just a 10-15 minute drive away, and the fishing village of Hope Cove is a short drive away, or can be reached on foot via the South West Coast Path.
