“This is a beautiful apartment, comfortable, spacious, really very equipped.”

The view is lovely snd it’s just a short walk to a beautiful beach. We spent most of our time very locally. Good walk to Hope Cove and Bantham too. It’s helpful that the kitchen is well equipped as there are only a few eating out options (all excellent but busy and not cheap), no takeaway/delivery and the only shop closes early (main supermarkets aplenty in Kingsbridge) so it’s ideal for those happy to cook at home.

The property

Just a short stroll from the beach and South West Coast Path and set within landscaped gardens is ‘Thurlestone Beach’ is a stunning development of luxury apartments and is perfect location for a coastal retreat.

5 Thurlestone Beach is a west-facing and stylishly presented apartment boasting sea views and spacious open-plan living space.

On arrival at the property, step into the open-plan space to find a kitchen, dining area and seating area, sure to become the social hub for your group.

Whip up a tasty meal for your group in the kitchen which features a large fridge/freezer and a gas oven and hob along with plenty of other handy appliances such as a dishwasher to help with the cleaning up and a Nespresso coffee machine.

Just off the kitchen, freshen up your clothes in the utility room after a sandy day at the beach, before making your way over to the dining area to sit down as a family and catch up over dinner.

From here, make your way into the sitting room to settle down for the evening in front of the TV, which also has Sky and a DVD player with a good selection of CDs and DVDs to choose from.

As night rolls in, retire to the bedrooms for some well-earned rest; with a choice of a king-size with an en-suite shower room and TV, a twin and a children's bunk, there are ideal sleeping quarters for the whole family.

Finishing off the interior of the apartment is a family bathroom where you have the choice of a quick rinse after a sandy day at the beach or a long soak to relax your muscles.

Back in the open-plan space, patio doors lead you to the covered patio area, perfect for taking your meals alfresco in the summer months while your four-legged friends stretch their legs.

The garden opens up to 1.5 acres of communal gardens which offers a sheltered sunken garden and barbecue area, you will hardly be able to tear yourself away.

When you are ready for some adventure, there are plenty of attractions and peaceful walks to be taken in the nearby areas.

Spend a day at the beach which is just a scenic stroll away; here, you can sunbathe with a picnic or even try your hand at some watersports.

Avid golfers can spend an afternoon teeing off at Thurlestone Golf Course which just a stone's throw away from the apartment and boasts fantastic sea views.

The picturesque village of Thurlestone is popular with both beach-goers and watersports enthusiasts, with the beautiful sandy beaches of Thurlestone and South Milton Sands within walking distance. Thurlestone boasts an 18-hole links golf course, a 13th century church, a traditional pub, a post office and the ‘Voyage Spa’, where visitors can enjoy spa treatments or afternoon tea. The sailing town of Salcombe is just a 10-15 minute drive away, and the fishing village of Hope Cove is a short drive away, or can be reached on foot via the South West Coast Path.
