“Very good location and house.”
Kitchen and cooking facilities not good - cooker not very good, old fashioned and difficult to use.- ,
Thank you for your feedback in respect of your stay at Primrose Cottage. We were delighted to hear that you had an enjoyable stay and particularly liked the location of this comfortable family house, just a short walk from the beach at Thurlestone Sands. “Wonderful house, beautifully decorated and furnished, in a glorious position.”
Equipped with everything one could possibly need. The owners have obviously given a lot of thought to ensuring a very comfortable stay. As a party of 3 adults and 4 teenagers, it was spacious enough to never feel crowded, and we had a brilliant week. Would certainly return for another holiday.- ,

“Primrose Cottage is an oasis of calm in a changing world.”
Every year it wraps it's walls around us and we leave rejuvenated. It cossets the Grannies, galvanises the Grand children, calms the Grandpa's and relaxes the parents. Phew, job done!- ,

“Rubbish bin left unemptied and smelt dreadful”- Mr D Bamber,
Many thanks for your feedback and for rating your return stay at Primrose Cottage with four stars. We were sorry to hear that the rubbish bin was not emptied; it would appear that this was due to a late Bank Holiday collection. We are pleased to advise that rubbish collections are now back to normal until the next Bank Holiday at the end of May. Owner relations
“Wonderful cottage, with views that will remain in my thoughts for a long time.”

Thank you, once again, for taking the time to send us your review. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Owner relations
“Primrose cottage is a beautiful place.”
Ideal location. Peaceful. Great for a family holiday including grandparents. The new curtains are a welcome addition to previous visit here. WiFi good addition. New TV is nice as we could watch catch up on the Olympics. Garden was maintained well. Inside freezer was a good addition. I would like to point out some areas to improve the property. We had a fantastic holiday, but these need to be looked at to maintain the standards of the place: For the price paid, towels shoild be provided. It is bery common practice for this in properties. Kitchen cooker needs updating - doesn't cook efficiently and the labels have come off the dials so no idea what each dial does. Dish washer doesn't work properly. The tablet was not used after the cycle has run. The drain outside (leading from the kitchen sink) was blocked on arrival and looked like it had been for a while (living things swimming in the water). This is the same problem we had last time we stayed 2 years ago. Obviously a problem with drains as maintenance man said he was unblocking drains here 3-4 weeks prior. I must say though, the maintenance company came out quickly and sorted problem. The back door needs replacing. It is very difficult to open and starting to corrode. The door to the utility needs maintenance as very difficult to open. The easy to reach things were clean (I.e. Carpets, kitchen top), but the house needs a thorough clean, particularly on shelves and higher up places. Very dusty and dirty. The washing machine needs cleaning out. Drum dirty and left clothes smelling like not been washed. Drawer where the powder etc goes was very dirty. The upstairs toilet seat needs replacing urgently. The wood is erroding and flaking away underneath. Upstairs bathroom needs a shower or at least a hose extension from the taps. In the double bed room upstairs, there is a small cupboard next to the bed leading to the eaves of the property. At night, the door and something inside the eaves will rattle in the wind. I had to block the door to stop it rattling, but still something inside the eaves rattles keeping me awake. Unsure what it could be, loose tiles outside?? I had the same problem 2 years ago on a previous stay.- ,

“Excellent location and views.”
Needs to advertise the children's toys available as we didn't need to use ours at all. Decor needs updating/some TLC.- ,
“So well equipped, cosy and fabulous view.”
I do wish the garden was a bit more secure for the children though. Also in the past two visits I have needed to wash all the under-blankets. I left a note to that effect to the cleaner, not something I would mention in the visitor book obviously!- ,
