    “The house was fabulous.”

Clean and comfortable. The view and sound of the sea made it so relaxing .lovely flat 2 mile walk to Street Gate along the Ley. Live music on the evening of our arrival Saturday at theTap House -Stokenham Farm ,again a nice walk or 5 minute drive . We come every year to the area but have not stayed at Argosy before. We will certainly stay here in future

The property

Argosy is a delightful Victorian seaside cottage presented to a very good standard throughout, located in the picturesque part of South Hams AONB.

The cottage sits just yards from the beach at the Torcross end of Slapton Sands, which is a three-mile stretch of golden coastline and is right on the South West Coast Path.

Argosy provides flexible accommodation over three floors and is an ideal base for families or smaller groups looking for a comfortable retreat in a stunning location.

Stunning panoramic views out to sea from the lounge and double bedrooms and lovely views also over Slapton Ley to the rear of the cottage.

The cottage entrance leads in at ground floor level to a good sized hallway with room for coats and shoes before you enter into a light and sunny open-plan room on the ground floor with two large sofas, TV with Blue-Ray DVD player.

A small table sits in front of the bay window to take in the superb view - the perfect spot for a sunny breakfast or early evening drink!

The dining area has a good sized table seating six and doors out to decking at the rear.

A well-fitted kitchen is well-equipped with stylish units, beech worktop, electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer.

A separate utility area houses a washing machine and tumble dryer for your convenience.

Here, you will find four well-presented bedrooms to choose from to ensure a flexible sleeping arrangement to suit the needs of your group.

On the first floor is a spacious double bedroom with stunning sea views, a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room with shower, wash-hand basin and WC, as well as a twin bedroom with views over Slapton Ley.

On the second floor is a further double bedroom with wonderful views, a king-size bed, built-in wardrobe and en-suite shower room with shower, basin, and WC, in addition to a single bedroom.

To the front of the cottage is a small terrace area with table and chairs overlooking Torcoss beach and the sea beyond.

To the rear is a decking area, also with table and chairs, to take in the evening sunshine!

Torcross is a traditional Devon village on the Start Bay coastline with an intriguing history and unspoilt shingle beach.

The village has a popular pub, post office/store, gift shop and cafes, all located within easy walking distance.

The market town of Kingsbridge and the ancient port of Dartmouth are within a short car journey away, whilst the beautiful sandy beaches of Salcombe and East Portlemouth are approximately 7 miles away.

Argosy is an outstanding base for exploring this part of Devon.
