“Boathouse Cottage, Torcross This is a real gem of a place.”

The location is perfect, and the views overlooking the sandy beach and sea are just sensational. The cottage itself is terrific - large living room / kitchen on 1st floor with all mod cons and everything we needed to cook. Everything was spotlessly clean, and we really appreciated the little touches like fresh milk and cookies and a small bunch of flowers. ...

The local pub is a very short walk, and the Farm Shop only 5 minutes drive. Perfect for a couple, or (very) small family. Would highly recommend.

The property

Boathouse Cottage is a cosy and quirky seaside property built into the cliff, just yards from the beach at one end of Slapton Sands (a 3-mile stretch of golden coastline) on the South West Coast Path.

The accommodation has been skillfully extended into the rockface and is presented to a very good standard throughout, with stunning views along the famous 'Slapton Line' and out to sea.

The cottage is ideally set up for couples or a young family with all living accommodation on the upper level and a bedroom on each floor. The entrance leads in at ground floor level to a small hallway and level access to the main bedroom, with double bed, sea views, and family shower room with large shower cubicle.

The first floor has a light and sunny open-plan kitchen/sitting/dining room with large picture window and stunning views.

A washing machine and freezer is housed in an area under the stairs.

Dining table with five chairs and child seat. Also on the first floor is a smaller twin bedroom with two small single beds (the beds can be linked on request to create a King-size double).

The property also has en suite cloakroom with w.c.

Travel cot available. At the front of the cottage is a small area for table and chairs.

Loading and unloading is permitted outside the cottage and there are also limited free parking bays nearby.

With the beach just yards away, this is fabulous accommodation for those looking for a seaside getaway.
