The property

29 Island Street is a situated a short level walk away from the bustling town of Salcombe with its array of boutiques, cafes and restaurants. This well presented two-bedroom cottage is accessed via a communal pathway and series of private terraces.

The cottage entrance opens directly into an open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room.

The fully fitted, well equipped kitchen has all modern appliances and looks out over the terrace to the front.

The sitting room/dining room boasts nautical decor, and has a dining table for four guests, sofa, window seat, pouffe and occasional furniture.

To the front of the cottage is a small terrace. Two bedrooms in total.

The master bedroom has a double bed with bedside units and hanging hooks.

The second bedroom offers two single beds and a small chest of drawers.

The fully tilled modern bathroom has a bath, shower (over) wash-hand basin and w.c.

The long-stay car park is close by and a number of fine sandy beaches can be reached from the town via small passenger ferries.

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.

For reasons of comfort this cottage is limited to a maximum of two adults only.
