South Devon is a fabulous place to enjoy Easter, with various events going on across the area. Looking to enjoy a traditional Easter Egg hunt with the children? Why not head to The National Trust Gardens at Overbeck’s in Salcombe, where you can search for the hidden Easter bunnies and receive a chocolate egg if you find them all! With face painting on Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, the children are guaranteed a good time.
For those who would prefer something more exuberant to burn off those Easter chocolates, an action packed day at the family theme park Woodlands, near Dartmouth, could be just what you are looking for. Children (and adults!) will love the waterslides, toboggan run, indoor adventure zones and farm yard – with Easter fun including all day egg hunts and ‘paint your own bunny’ this is a great place to visit. For a 15% discount voucher contact Coast & Country Cottages on 01548 843773.
For something a little more unusual, head to Kingswear railway station on 10th, 11th & 12th April – the Dartmouth Steam Railway & River Boat Company are hosting an Ice Cream Festival! Come along for some delicious ice cream and sorbet – with lots of goodies to sample and potentially something new to try, this is certainly one for food lovers!
