    “A fantastic spotlessly clean property which provided everything we needed, and more, for a relaxing week in beautiful Salcombe.”

    The location is perfect and had great outside space along with parking - a definite plus! Because of the positioning of the property several feet above street level we were not overlooked. Being at the end of the town the area is quiet too. We can honestly say everything exceeded our expectations. We met the owners, Clive and Jacky who are really lovely. We will definitely be back.

The property

This semi-detached property is situated in a central position in the popular sailing town of Salcombe, just a short walk from a variety of boutique shops, pubs and restaurants.

Throughout this property, the interior design has been complete to a good standard, with hints of nautical décor, providing the ideal base for a family seaside break.

The ground floor plays host to a contemporary, open plan sitting room.

At the other end of this room is a sociable dining space, with a large table and seating for up to 10 guests.

Prepare your home-cooked meals within the well-equipped kitchen, housing all the necessities you will require during your stay.

On the first floor are three well-presented bedrooms, including a master with a super King-size bed, plus two double rooms with king-size beds.

Each of these bedrooms boasts an en-suite with a walk-in shower, basin and WC.

Doors from the kitchen and living rooms lead to a spacious tiered terrace, complete with furniture, perfect for al fresco dining.

The central location of the property makes it a perfect base for a family or group looking to enjoy South Devon’s stunning coastline; visit one of several sandy beaches around Salcombe, including South Sands, North Sands and East Portlemouth, where you can simply relax or try watersports such as paddleboarding.

For those looking to explore the area on foot, the South West Coast Path from Salcombe encompasses stunning scenery, and there are a number of National Trust properties nearby including Overbeck’s house and gardens.

Just a short drive away is the market town of Kingsbridge, which has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as the Kingsbridge Estuary.

SALCOMBE

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
