Bloom & Wild are delighting customers one bunch at a time by redefining the flower delivery experience. Inspired by the English country garden, their blooms have seen them become the UK’s best loved online flower shop. Delivered from bud to bloom, their floral arrangements are a lovely gift for that special someone, or simply for a joyful addition to your holiday home!

How did Bloom & Wild start?

Bloom & Wild started out of the idea that such an emotive gift should be a joy to send and a joy to receive from the palm of your hand. People are busy, on-the-go and need a meaningful gift they can send directly from their mobile so they be there from anywhere for their friends and family.

Which are your favourite types of flowers?

We love really long-lasting and scented foliages like eucalyptus, which is wild and lovely paired with ferns, ombre roses and leucadendron. Our designs err on the quirky, colourful and creative to offer really delightful designs.

In your opinion, which flowers boast the best scents?

Certain flowers and foliages have really lovely, zen scents like wax flower with a lemony smell, lavender and eucalyptus. It’s lovely to have really healing smells in a bouquet, especially after coming home from a stressful day!

Do you have any advice for our customers or holiday home owners on how to arrange flowers or style their homes with them?

To arrange flowers, always start with a foliage framework – criss-cross any greenery in a vase, then add in larger flowers and finish with accent stems. With this method, it’s easy to arrange flowers in any shape vase that you have at home (or your home away from home).

For our holiday makers, could they pause their subscriptions while they’re away? Can they order a one-off delivery?

Of course – you can easily pause a subscription via your account (either on our app or on our website). You can also specify a date for delivery (if you want the flowers to arrive on a special day). We also offer one-off deliveries – plenty of options to easily gift blooms – whatever the occasion.

Many of our customers come to South Devon to celebrate anniversaries, and special occasions. Do you have unique gift ideas for this?

For really special occasions, like an anniversary, we like gifting a subscription of blooms – the first delivery can arrive to the vacation home and then each month, the recipient will receive blooms that remind them of that special trip and moment.

Do you choose specific colours for specific occasions?

We certainly do, but always in a fresh and modern way. For instance, we have a few yellow bouquets featuring yellow stems that tend to represent friendship. We feature lots of soft pink stems which may be a great option for a new bride or to say happy birthday to your mother-in-law. We have a great selection of gift suggestions that we have paired up with treats to make any occasions extra special.

Do you have a bespoke range of flowers for each season?

We love to work with what’s in season – it’s better for the environment and in-season blooms always last longer, so you’ll see our bouquets change regularly – we particularly love peony season that begins in April and goes through July or so.

What’s the best way of looking after a bunch of flowers so they live longer and don’t wilt? Do they need to keep cool?

We stand by a few go-to tips: always trim your stems at an angle before placing them in the vase – this allows them to drink up plenty of water, clean your vase before each use and switch out the water every few days, trim away any leaves that fall below the water line, and always keep flowers away from direct sunlight or warm radiators
