Marketing Executive (South West)

Fixed term contract with the opportunity to extend, up to £22,000 DOE

Sykes Holiday Cottages are seeking their newest Marketing Executive, to work across their five successful holiday cottage brands in South West England: Coast & Country Cottages, Helpful Holidays, Cornish Cottage Holidays, Carbis Bay Holidays and John Bray Cornish Holidays.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of the South West Regional Marketing Team, responsible for growing the portfolio of holiday cottages for each of our five brands in Devon and Cornwall, by delivering new owner and property leads.

This exciting, diverse and creative marketing role offers the chance to work across multiple channels, including aspects of both digital and offline marketing. The team work on all local marketing for each brand, from signage, advertising and PR, to social media and blog content, to increase brand awareness and ensure we are the first choice agent for holiday home owners.

This role is initially a maternity cover position covering a 9 month FTC, with opportunity to extend after this. Flexibility will be offered to work remotely, or to have a hybrid arrangement between working from home and working from our office in either Salcombe or Chagford.

Owner Relations Expert

Full time, circa £19,000 p.a plus additional on call payments

As our portfolio of holiday cottages grows, we are looking to expand our Owner Relations team in Salcombe. This involves supporting new and existing property owners throughout the letting process, and responding to any queries over holiday bookings, pricing and guest feedback.

This role will include working on Saturdays with a day off in the week.

Laundry Assistant and Delivery Driver

Full time permanent position, circa £19,000 p.a

This operational role is essential to ensuring our portfolio of holiday cottages are ready to accept bookings from guests and owners. As a Laundry Assistant, you will be helping the team to sort, launder, iron and pack all linen and towels, and will also be responsible for delivering clean linen and collecting dirty, using our company vehicle.

Ensuring high standards are met, the role will also include liaising closely with cleaners and office staff, plus inspections of the laundry provided.

The working week would be Tuesday – Saturday, working a 37.5hr week.

Full driving licence required.

Based in the Coast & Country Cottages Salcombe laundry unit, Travel Lite.

Managed Services Assistant

Full time permanent position, circa £19,000 p.a plus additional on call payments

This operational role includes assisting the housekeeping department with the co-ordination of all cleans for our holiday cottages, authorising and processing invoices and office administration. It will involve dealing with maintenance issues and legislative documents for holiday homeowners, liaising with a wide range of contractors, cleaners, property owners and tenants. Ensuring high standards for our customers, it also involves property inspections and changeovers, plus out of hours on-call support.

This role will include working on Saturdays with a day off in the week.

Full driving licence and car required.

Operations Assistant

Permanent position, 14+ hours per week, £8.91 per hour

As our latest Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for covering property inspections, liaising occasionally with customers and owners, and performing office assistance during our busy changeover days.

We are seeking a capable, experienced individual with experience working well as part of a passionate and successful team. We are ideally looking for someone with past experience in a similar Operations position however full training is provided!

This is a part time position covering 14+ hours per week. Working hours may vary but will cover every Friday and Saturday with some Sunday and Bank Holidays included. A full clean driving license and use of your own vehicle is essential for this role.

13+ hours per week, April – October (holiday periods), £8.91 per hour

As a seasonal Property Checker, you will be responsible for covering property inspections, liaising occasionally with customers and owners, and performing office assistance for the duration of the busy holiday season.

We are seeking a capable, experienced individual with experience working well as part of a passionate and successful team. Full training is provided!

This is a part time position covering 13+ hours per week. Working hours may vary but will cover every Friday and Saturday with some Sunday and Bank Holidays included. A full clean driving license and use of your own vehicle would be advantageous for this role.

We are an award-winning local business looking for self-employed and employed cleaners to service holiday homes in the South Hams on Fridays and/or Saturdays.

Work available in Salcombe, Dartmouth, Hope Cove, Thurlestone and other areas of the South Hams.

Own transport is essential.
