The Old Warehouse

Newly opened in 2022, The Old Warehouse has an incredible, ever-changing menu developed to showcase the impressive choice of local produce available in the South West. Expect locally reared beef, freshly landed fish and delicious vegetables grown just a mile or so up the road.

With dishes like roast plaice with braised puy lentils, or sirloin steak in garlic and herb butter, it is a restaurant in the heart of Kingsbridge that’s not to be missed! The little ones are welcome too, with a lovely children’s menu to choose from… the buttermilk fried fish goujons with fries are a delight.

But it’s not just the food that makes a visit well worthwhile; the taproom, kitchen and café is run by the founder and head brewer of Moonhoney Mead, which is also based at The Old Warehouse, with all mead being made on the premises. A unique experience, visitors can enjoy watching the meadery in action whilst enjoying a glass of the delicious mead that’s on tap. With a range of their tasty products on offer, you can find the perfect drink accompaniment to your meal. Why not sip on Moon Honey Ginger, a sparkling mead that won a 2022 Taste of the West Gold award, whilst tucking into your lunch or dinner. Or why not pop in for your morning coffee? Maha Bharat

For the finest Bengali and Indian food in the region, the award-winning restaurant Maha Bharat is a must. Winner of ‘Asian Restaurant of the Year South West’ in the 2021 Asian Curry Awards, this popular establishment is well-loved by visitors and locals alike. Serving all the traditional dishes expected from a fine curry house, as well as some tasty specials, those who enjoy a curry won’t fail to be impressed – plus Maha Bharat also do a fabulous takeaway, which can be delivered for a small fee. Twenty Seven

Another award-winning eatery in the heart of Kingsbridge is Twenty Seven, run by local chef Jamie Rogers. Recent winner of The Best Fine Dining Restaurant in the Food Drink Devon 2022-2023 awards, Jamie provides food of an exceptional standard, with both A la Carte and tasting menus on offer.

Café Asia

Having opened in 2021, Dream Turkish Kitchen is new to Kingsbridge but has brought a welcome addition to the town’s cuisine offering. The Turkish food produced by Dream ranges from traditional kebabs to a wonderful selection of hot and cold Meze – plus a divine choice of drinks. The cocktails are particularly good, featuring both local soft drinks and spirits. Best of all, you can visit not only for your evening meal, but for a traditional Turkish breakfast too!


La Ranchera

Bringing a little piece of Mexico to Kingsbridge’s Church Street, La Ranchera provides a menu overflowing with tantalising Mexican dishes complete with all the trimmings. The Old Bakery
