Let’s start with some of the beaches that form the backdrop of many scenes in #YourSouthDevon.

South Sands is an unspoilt cove just a short walk from Salcombe – it’s the perfect spot for a day at the beach, followed by something to eat at the nearby Winking Prawn restaurant. You can reach South Sands on foot from Salcombe (around fifteen minutes) or take the popular South Sands Ferry.

Bigbury-On-Sea’s stunning beach, famed for its surfing waves as well as the tidal land bridge that links it to Burgh Island, made an unmissable location for our video.

There’s a nice mix of fine shingle and sandy beaches in South Devon, each with their own advantages. Toboggan rides are always irresistible for kids. We visited Woodlands Family Theme Park, just a few miles from Dartmouth, to capture some of the fun.
