Coast & Country Cottages Rowing Challenge

As a locally based team in Salcombe and Dartmouth, we at Coast & Country Cottages know just how important the ocean is to our mental health and wellbeing.

In a bid to raise funds for the amazing work The Wave Project undertake, we are embarking on our very own rowing challenge!

When is the fundraising event?

On Tuesday 19th July, from 8am onwards.

Where is the event?

We will be positioned outside our Salcombe office on Island Street, armed with rowing machines and a lot of enthusiasm.

How long is the Coast & Country Cottages Rowing Challenge?

Our aim is to row the equivalent distance of South Devon’s coast – 202km – in only 12 hours.

Who will be partaking in the fundraising event?

Our Coast & Country Cottages owner relations team, property maintenance team, cleaners, caretakers, property checkers, marketing executives and administrators are taking time out of their day jobs.

They will be donning their lycra and tracksuits and hitting the rowing machines to try and reach this milestone distance.

So how can you help?

We are looking to raise as much money as possible for this exceptionally worthwhile cause.

We have set up a dedicated Just Giving page, and we kindly ask you to support us by donating any amount you can, big or small.

Any donation you make will go directly to supporting The Wave Project and the amazing work they do offering surf therapy to disadvantaged children.

Plus, every penny donated will spur our team on to succeed in our challenge!

Why not come along and give your support to our dedicated rowers. Don’t forget your trainers… we would love it if you would like to do a stint on our second rowing machine. 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes – however long you can manage to help us row the length of the South Devon coast by 8pm.

All ages and abilities welcome, and everyone that rows will get a little treat.

Do I need to book a ticket?

No, you do not need a ticket. Turn up anytime from 8am and help us achieve this milestone. We hope to see you there!
