Mostly reverse-level with four of the five bedrooms on the ground floor, it’s a truly unique property. Criss-crossing beams and lovely countryside views from the first-floor living area quickly make it clear why this design was chosen, and the result is a wonderfully sociable reception area where families and friends can gather.

When the kids want to do their own thing, they can head to the snug – a cosy and comfortable secondary living area with a smart TV.

Treetops is an extensive, family holiday home which provides Four Star accommodation for up to 10 guests. Situated in the woodland above North Sands, it’s in an ideal spot for access to both the North Sands and South Sands beaches as well as the passenger ferry into Salcombe.

There’s plenty of space for everyone to spread out, with five sumptuously furnished bedrooms (three en suite), a beautifully furnished sitting room and kitchen-diner, a useful utility room and some lovely outside space. The latter includes a terraced area complete with comfortable garden furniture and a raised lawn.

Back indoors, kids of almost all ages will quickly want to claim the snug for themselves. There are bean bags, an LCD TV with separate Sky tuning and a DVD player plus a range of games and toys.
