    “A wonderful apartment very comfortable, we stayed here approximately 9 years ago and this recent refurbishment has added to the pleasure of being here.”

    Perfect position for walks to Hope Cove and Thurlestone. We agree with keeping the balcony doors and windows un-curtained to give the broadest beach and cliff view, but when there is a strong cold wind the draught through the top of the balcony doors is very noticeable. A fabulous apartment to which we hope to return.

The property

Thurlestone Rock is a development of spacious marine apartments, situated on the edge of Thurlestone Sands, enjoying sweeping views towards Bigbury Bay.

Thurlestone Rock and Burgh Island provide a stunning coastal backdrop, whilst the adjacent coastal path offers wonderful walks, making it the perfect bolthole for a coastal retreat. 12 Thurlestone Rock is a second floor apartment that has been tastefully furnished.

Entered via two flights of stairs leading to the apartment entrance, the property has been decorated to a superb standard.

Boasting a fully fitted kitchen, there is a separate utility area housing a washing machine and tumble dryer.

The combined lounge and dining room is spacious, with a Smart TV, sofas and a dining table seating six.

French doors lead out onto a private balcony (with small table and chairs) looking across the beach, towards Thurlestone Rock and nearby golf course.

The master bedroom has a King-sized bed, drawers and dresser, and en suite shower room.

The second bedroom is a twin, with two single beds, whilst the third bedroom has full sized bunk beds.

In addition, there is a family bathroom with bath and separate shower.

Outdoor space is ample, with not only a private balcony, but also a communal patio area with barbeque facility and sun deck, and exclusive use of the outdoor heated swimming pool (during peak season).

The picturesque village of Thurlestone is popular with both beach-goers and watersports enthusiasts, with the beautiful sandy beaches of Thurlestone and South Milton Sands within walking distance. Thurlestone boasts an 18-hole links golf course, a 13th century church, a traditional pub, a post office and the ‘Voyage Spa’, where visitors can enjoy spa treatments or afternoon tea. The sailing town of Salcombe is just a 10-15 minute drive away, and the fishing village of Hope Cove is a short drive away, or can be reached on foot via the South West Coast Path.
