    “We had a wonderful stay.”

    The house was perfectly situated. Our car was too big to park on the gravel which we thought would be the case but no problem as we parked in the marina. Might be helpful to indicate max car size on the listing for future users? My only negative was how dirty the sofas are, and the nooks and crannies of the house which have not been hoovered in a long time (behind sofa and bedside tables etc) and the black mould in the cupboards in the top room - it smelt quite bad up there.

We are able to park our estate car and a Ford transit in the space, although I appreciate the reverse parking can be tricky for some. We use a very reputable housekeeping service (Pure) so are disappointed to note your observations and will be sure to pass these on and rectify for future guests. Had these matters been raised at the start of your stay we could have come and remedied them immediately. Property Owner

3 Pebble Cottage, a pretty, three-storey abode set just a few streets away from Brixham's marina and harbourside restaurants in Devon.

This pet-friendly retreat offers guests an idyllic base for exploring the coasts of Devon from this popular fishing town.

With a dedicated parking space right outside, shared courtyard and patio it's an ideal home away from home.

Enter the property and enjoy the toasty woodburning stove and dual-aspect living/dining room, which leads to a well-designed kitchen with a range cooker and American-style fridge freezer with an ice machine.

A stable door provides a lovely connection to your immediate coffee spot right outside your back door and the wider shared courtyard beyond. Climb the stairs, which we must note are quite steep, to reach the first-floor single bedroom and family shower room with mood lighting and sleek finishes.

A super king-size bedroom with its own Smart TV and open en-suite shower room completes the first-floor accommodation.

A final set of steps leads to the second-floor king-size bedroom with built-in wardrobes, Smart TV, and characterful beams. Make time during your stay to explore the cobbled streets of Brixham, starting with the bustling harbour where you can watch the fishing boats return with the day’s catch.

From there, traverse the short, scenic walk to Berry Head National Nature Reserve and Brixham Breakwater, both offering stunning sea views.

Be sure to visit Fishcombe Cove for a serene beach outing before immersing yourself in local history at the Brixham Heritage Museum.

The town provides a wonderful selection of dining options - fresh seafood at Rockfish, fine dining at Berry Head Hotel, or for something more exotic, The Local Thai Restaurant is a must-visit.

A short journey away lies the bustling resort of Paignton, home to Paignton Zoo Environmental Park and Splashdown Quaywest Waterpark, whilst Pirates Bay Adventure Golf and the idyllic Fairy Cove offer excellent family days out.

Brixham is a working fishing harbour located on the southern side of Torbay, the area known as The English Riviera, famed for its sunny mild climate all year round. The focal point of the harbour is a life size replica of The Golden Hind, Sir Francis Drake’s ship. The prettiest part of Brixham has small cottages in hilly narrow winding lanes leading to the harbour where all the activity is centred. Home to Britain’s largest fishing fleet which regularly lands their catch in the harbour, Brixham fish market sells to major restaurants in the UK. Brixham is the ideal destination for a traditional holiday with many family attractions around Torbay including two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo and many regattas and maritime events throughout the year.
