    “Lovely place we have used before on numerous occasions but feel it is now in need of improvements.”

    The beds are tired and especially in the main bedroom. The water supply is very slow and as we prefer baths to showers a long wait is needed to fill a bath tub. We are happy with the cleanliness and utensils provided etc but milk, washing up liquid and maybe a few biscuits on arrival would help. We will stay in Dartmouth again but will try another place to stay next time.

The property

Located towards the lower end of Ridge Hill and opposite the Royal Naval College, 11 Ridge Hill is only a few minutes’ walk into Dartmouth and its array of boutiques, restaurants and pubs.

This beautifully designed ground floor apartment boasts views over Coronation Park towards the River Dart from the bedrooms. There is a short steep hill and three steps up to access the property front door, which opens into a spacious hallway.

There is a cosy and stylishly furnished open plan living area with attractive oak flooring, two sofas, wall-mounted TV, a wood-effect stove and doors to the courtyard garden.

The dining area has a circular wooden table which seats four.

The modern, galley kitchen has oak worktops and floors, a Range cooker (six-ring gas hob, griddle, wok burner and double electric ovens), a Belfast sink and other modern appliances. The en suite master bedroom has a Super King-size bed (can be split into twin beds on request), a TV and plenty of storage, views across the park towards the river, and a tiled en suite shower room.

The second bedroom has a double bed, a TV and plenty of storage also.

In addition to the en suite is a family bathroom.

To the rear of the apartment is an enclosed courtyard with outdoor furniture.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.
