    “A comfortable, well equipped,warm house.”

We enjoyed our stay. The only criticism was the lack of handrail on the lower flight of stairs to the kitchen. We found this potentially dangerous.

The cottage is accessed directly from Newcomen Road at the ground floor level with access to a small but very well presented sitting room with leather sofa and chair, LCD TV and DVD player.

On the lower ground floor level is a well equipped kitchen presented to a very good standard with a range of white units and appliances, plus a hardwood dining table and seating for six guests.

There are two bedrooms in total; on the second floor is a master bedroom with a King-size bed and en suite shower room.

This comfortable room extends out to a sunny sitting area with a Juliet balcony boasting stunning views towards the River Dart.

On the first floor is a cosy double bedroom.

In addition to the master en suite is a family bathroom.

A parking pass is provided for the Mayors Avenue public car park (subject to available spaces). Ideal for exploring the town, this cottage is located on Newcomen Road, just a minute or so (mostly level) walk from Dartmouth's boutiques, restaurants and tea rooms, as well as the picturesque River Dart.

Blackpool Sands beach is just a 5-10 minute drive away whilst Woodlands Leisure Park is just three miles outside of Dartmouth.

About the location

Totnes 12 miles.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.

Please note the property is split over four floors, if you have issues with climbing stairs then please contact the office for further information.

Parking permit provided.

A small bunk bedded room (for 1-2 children only) is available on request for an additional £100.00 per week.

PLEASE NOTE: The Mayors Avenue car park is closed during Regatta week.
