  • “Fifth time at Courtyard so obviously love the place.”

    ...

Only criticism is that every year have found the duvets very heavy with no other choice. Also, as Dartmouth is expensive to eat out, there isn't enough smaller Pyrex type dishes to use in oven. Also it would be handy to have all the re.cycling information on display as we would like to help as much as possible but every County has its own procedures. On the positive side it is accessible to the town and its facilities and the office is handy for any personal enquiries. Because of the service we have received over the years we hope to spend many more years at Courtyard House.

The property

In a quiet part of Dartmouth, Courtyard House is a renovated three-storey stone cottage only a short walk from the naval town’s vibrant shops, restaurants and pubs.

With use of the luxury facilities at the Dart Marina Hotel’s spa facilities, this property provides a relaxing escape for couples and families with children over the age of 5 only.

This stone cottage has an open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room on the ground floor.

The modern kitchen area features a four ring ceramic hob, electric oven and grill with a fridge / freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave.

There is also a dining table with four chairs, whilst the sitting area has a large C-shaped sofa, TV with Freeview and DVD player, and an iPod docking station.

A set of stairs lead up to the en-suite bedrooms.

On the first floor is a twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room.

On the second floor is a spacious double room, with King-size wooden bed, plus a fully tiled, contemporary en suite bathroom.

A door from the first floor leads to a decked balcony with a table and four chairs.

There is parking for one car in the courtyard but please be aware that Clarence Hill is a relatively narrow lane.

About the location

DARTMOUTH

Totnes 12 miles.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular sandy beaches are a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.

Please note that Clarence Hill is narrow with a 6' width restriction in place.

For reasons of safety and comfort children under 5 years of age are not permitted at this property.

The Dart Marina spa will be closed for 6 weeks from the 7th January 2019 and on reopening will not accept children under the age of 16.
