    However a few issues. In no particular order: 1. No spare key made security a challenge when separated. No phone signal made this harder (not that we expected good coverage in Hope Cove). 2. Wifi was next to non existent. No coverage in bedrooms or living spaces. Even standing right next to the router there was very limited coverage for browsing/messaging. Certainly not capable of any streaming. Interestingly other members of our family rented 'the moorings' and the wifi coverage at theirs was as good as we experience at home. 3. The cable for the DVD player (scart) did not fit the smart tv. As per issue 2 we were unable to watch any catch up etc. The purpose of our visit was other than to sit around watching films however, that would have been an option we would have liked in the evening.

    Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback - There is a key safe at the Armada Apartments so you are able to leave the key securely at all times at the property. We have tested the broadband signal and have not found an issue using the internet on different devices in different rooms. Thank you for letting us know about the scart lead, a new DVD player has now been installed. If you had made us aware during your stay we could have attended to look at the wi-fi and DVD issues whilst you were here. We are sorry for any inconvenience that was caused. The property

A first floor, single storey apartment set in a waterside position and with a glimpse of the slipway, beach, sea and across to Bolt Tail.

The apartment is very well presented throughout. A small window looking out from the sitting room provides a glimpse of the slipway, beach, sea and across to Bolt Tail.

Good-sized entrance lobby with room for coats, shoes, beach equipment etc.

A cleverly designed 'Z' shaped room entered via a wide, arched doorway with stylish wooden doors.

Fully fitted modern kitchen with ceramic hob, electric double oven, fridge (with small freezer compartment), washing machine, dishwasher and microwave.

The dining area comprises of an ash table with two long benches, comfortably seating 4, whilst the sitting room is furnished with two sofas, TV, DVD player and mini CD hi-fi.

Master bedroom with double bed, built-in wardrobes and en suite shower room, with electric shower, wash-hand basin, w.c.

and heated towel rail.

Twin room with 3' single beds and wardrobe.

All duvets, pillows and bed linen provided - tenants require towels and tea-towels.

Unloading only is permitted in a bay to the rear of the property.

Parking is available in the nearby village car park at an additional cost (approximately 50 yards away). Located just a few yards from the beach and within walking distance of the village shop, pub and restaurants, it is an ideal coastal retreat for young families or couples.

The picturesque and unspoiled village of Hope Cove lies in the sheltered curve of Bigbury Bay on Devon’s south coast. A choice destination for families, the two beaches offering soft sand and rock pools for sandcastle building and fishing for small crabs. The town remains a fishing village where crabs and lobsters are still landed, however it was once used by smugglers. Many ships have perished around the coast and the wrecks that lie beneath the waves make it a popular spot for divers. Above the beach there are a number of pubs and restaurants. The coastal footpath can be joined from here and leads towards Bigbury-on-sea in one direction and the coastal resort of Salcombe in the other.

PARKING Unloading only is permitted in a bay to the rear of the property. Parking is available in the nearby village car park at an additional cost (approximately 50 yards away).

All bed linen is supplied. You will need to bring your own towels, tea towels and oven gloves
