Brilliant apartment, cosy clean and very comfortable.

Is equipped with everything you'd need for your stay. Close to the beach. Car park 3 min walk away. As is the shop and the 2 pubs.

...we stayed in 5 for a few times but we have decided this is better for is all being on the same floor ...perfect home from home and excellent service from Coast & Country regarding the exchange in a kettle! Would recommend a what's app number in the info book for any emergencies etc as zero phone signal only wifi , we have already booked for next year

Brilliant place in terms of location with little people.

No shoes and straight into the sea, grab and ice cream or some dinner at one of the great eateries. Basic but clean and all you need for a little family of four and 1 pair of paws. There were plenty of towels so maybe take that off the listing- thank you! If you could make any improvements these Minor things would make it too notch; - welcome tea/ coffee or few local bits - enough dishwasher tabs for number of nights - tinfoil - more little lamps/ side lamps - washing machine tabs Can’t wait to come back !

The apartment was lovely and spacious plus extremely clean and well equipped.

Always clean and tidy, everything you need for a lovely stay. I’ll definitely be back for a third time. For those thinking of staying, it’s best to bring a torch, the path at the back is very dark at night. Excellent value for money and great service from the letting company. Highly recommend In

A lovely apartment with everything you could need for a short stay even included hand soap, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets - very impressed.

We visit Hope Cove almost every year and had previously stayed in this property back in 2012 and had a very pleasant stay.

I booked this property forgetting that since our last stay "The Cove" had opened next door. This is an extremely busy bar/restaurant/sports bar/live music venue that plays very loud music from about 1100am to when the kitchen finally closes for the night at about 2330hrs. Unfortunately this apartment is situated quite literally 4ft away from The Cove and the windows of both bedrooms look almost directly into the very busy and very loud kitchen of this restaurant, so not only is it consistently extremely noisy you also can't open the windows of either bedroom unless you want the bedrooms and your clothes to smell like week old fried grease. In addition to this The Cove stack all their used beer kegs on the wall of the building the apartment is housed in so the clanging of metal on metal is pretty frequent too. That's not it though, this apartment is situated on the first floor, there is a large apartment under it and on top of it and unfortunately the dividing floors/ceiling appear to be made out of tracing paper so the noise from the apartment above is absolutely constant should anyone be renting it (think elephants walk around and toilets flushing at 3am). Essentially, if you are a rowdy group of lads who are coming to Hope Cove to party, drink and surf then this apartment is perfect. It's central, pretty clean, fairly well equipped and roomy. If you are a couple or a family (particularly with young kids) that actual want a restful holiday experience were you are able to sleep before 2300hrs at night and beyond 0700hrs in the morning then you need to avoid this apartment. Seriously, I'm not joking. It seems odd to me that there arent more reviews like this of this apartment as the visitors book is absolutely full of comments to the same tune as this. I can only assume that they are deleted to tey and mislead potential customers. It's a shame because prior to the opening of the bar next door several years ago this apartment was pretty quiet and relaxing.

Lovely property with good facilities, the only drawback is the noise from the people upstairs.

They seem to spend all evening running around on the wooden floors, you are warned of this is the details, but i wasn't expecting it to be quite so loud. We reported a problem with the shower and the maintenance team were out to fix it in a couple of hours, very good service.

Gorgeous little apartment perfectly located on Hope Cove Beach, highly recommend!

Really spacious, clean and has all the facilities you need with a lovely side view of the cove from living room window. Parking is just 2mins away

Parking was the biggest issue as we had to pay £10 per day per car.

This should be indicated on the property details. Also getting the car to the property drop off point wasn’t easy either as we were unable to access the roadway via the hotel at the top of the road. The kitchen just lacked a couple of things, tongs for picking up cooked meats and I could only find one frying pan. Last issue was finding the rubbish bin outside as the information provided in the book didn’t seem to match reality and so we had to leave our rubbish bagged up by the property door. Overall we enjoyed our stay there and if some arrangements could be made for cheaper/free parking we would definitely go back.

We loved the apartment and it was very clean, comfortable and well equipped.

We took our own towels / oven gloves / tea towels as instructed but they were supplied (which was great) but inaccurate communication, which could easily be rectified. There is noise from The Cove kitchen in the main bedroom but it didn't impact on us. It would have been a bonus if a recycling bin/box could be provided as we saw other properties had them. Also on our last day the wheelie bin had disappeared so we had to leave our rubbish just in the black bag. It was there on Tuesday when the bins were collected?!!! We had a great holiday and would recommend the property. Thank-you.

Fantastic spot right in heart of Hope Cove.

Well stocked kitchen and the place was clean throughout. Very spacious apartment and we will certainly be looking to stay again in the future.

We stayed in apartment 2 .

The apartment itself is very lovely although it can be quite noisy. The bedroom backs onto the kitchen of the neighbouring pub so we had a lot of kitchen noise and music until 9 ish in the evening and from around 7 in the morning. That said we did ask them to turn the music down and they did, but when you’ve been travelling for seven hours we’d have liked a lie in .. There isn’t an outdoor area for the dog but the beach is only a Minute away so not a problem. The apartment is equipped with kettle, toaster, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, oven etc… all very good

We have been visitng Hope Cove for 10 years and have stayed in 2 Armada House many times.

The cleanliness of the apartment was shocking this time round. It's the first time when we have arrived and the beds had not been made and the so called clean bedding had blood over the sheet and marks on the pillow protectors and quilt. In the main bathroom there were dead flies on the floor, massive cobweb in the corner and the bath had hair and bugs and a shaver cover near the plug hole. The kitchen was generally grubby and had to be cleaned before use and the dishwasher was not emptied. As for the local pubs/restaurants they have become so expensive trying to charge London prices when its not. Very disappointed overall with our holiday this time round and are very reluctant to return to Hope Cove.

It was very close to the beach and restaurants/ pub. We went over the Hope Cove weekend - so it was a busy time, but very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend.

Lovely well appointed cottage in hope Cove, beautiful views across hope cove and just metres from the harbour beach (dog friendly).

The apartment is well maintained, clean, comfy bed , towels provided. Sadly no place to sit out or outside space, my own fault for not checking. We read a few reviews regarding noise, however we didn't experience this, it was extremely quiet at night.

We love Hope Cove and this is the best property we have stayed in, it worked perfectly for our family of four with a dog.

Great stay at armada house, great location 20m from the beach!

Had all the utensils and flat was really spacious. Could have been cleaner though as we found a lot of dust around and all the towels stunk of smoke although flat didn’t smell of it. Think the check in and out times need to be reviewed if they don’t use those 5 hours for cleaning!

This is our 2nd stay at 2 Armada and better than I remembered it.

Our last stay was the summer before Covid when we had hoped it would be an annual destination. Thrilled to have returned!! The property was in excellent condition, glad to see a new television as well for late night entertainment. The location is perfect and enjoyed the beaches in Hope Cove as well as walking over to South Milton Sands. Particularly enjoyed our morning walks to Bolberry Down and Soar Mill Cove. The property is in an excellent location to get outside and explore the South West Coastal Path, local beaches or quick drives to Salcombe, Dartmouth, and other nearby towns. As for the property, the beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. Looking forward to returning in 2023!!

The place was just as described, really comfortable, clean and a brilliant location for us to make the best of beautiful Hope Cove.

This is the 3rd holiday property we've stayed in at Hope Cove and we loved it.

The previous 2 were also good. 2 Armada House was spacious, warm and clean with excellent facilities. It was great to have a dishwasher. The location is fabulous being right by the local shop and the restaurants (although the restaurants themselves aren't particularly great - and very expensive - which is a shame). There is no parking but we found a great free spot up above The Cottage hotel which is out of the way yet easily accessible. Some reviews have mentioned noise from the property above. Whilst we did hear a bit it did not bother us. I imagine if guests up there are running around a lot it could be a problem but that was not the case for us. Totally recommend this property and would happily stay there again.

We did have a lovely stay and the accommodation was comfortable, however, a bit more attention to quality and cleanliness would have gone a long way.

Although the flat was initially presentable, it was not as clean as we would have liked. For example, the skirtings were very dusty when we had to move the bed, some of the pans, cutlery and glasses were dirty and although we understand that the outside windows were covered in sand due to a recent storm, the inside of the windows were also grubby. The décor was good throughout, but starting to show its age and some of the doors would strike the floor. The bathroom door in particular needed a bit of a shove to open past 1/3 of its travel. The microwave had been used so often that all of the icons and text had rubbed off the fascia, leaving a collection of random buttons with no idea of which ones to press. All the previous accommodation we have booked through Sykes has provided a lovely little welcome basket, so we were also disappointed that there was no welcome pack here. No milk, tea or coffee. This wouldn't have been a problem if there had been an open shop in Hope Cove (the post office is given to random opening times and only in the morning). This should have been made clear in the information about the accommodation so that we could have prepared more, instead of having to drive 15 minutes out of town again to the nearest shop! We were unaware of the complete lack of phone reception in the area and would have appreciated this fact being made clear in the welcome notes as we were unable to access the directions until we used a pub’s wifi. At one point we needed to contact Sykes, asking them to please e-mail a response because there was no phone reception. So we were somewhat frustrated that they repeatedly tried to call us back, which we only received once we’d departed! We would have appreciated the instructions for getting to and into the house being a bit clearer, for example that you drive down past the hotel car parks and keep going and that the front of the house is actually at the back. Although this was hinted at it took some hunting to find the entrance. It was also a little disappointing that the photo of the sea view in the advert came from a tiny side window and the main windows had no such view. The key safe is a little affected by the salt and sand I think as sometimes it was quite tricky to open.

This is our second time here and didn't disappoint.

It's become a very special place for us and I'm sure we will be back! Such a lovely apartment. Perfect location for the beach, pubs, exploring and had everything we needed.

A really spacious and beautiful flat right opposite the beach.

All the kitchenware and amenities you need for a break. Wifi was great, streaming on laptop was easy. Loved staying there and would definitely go back and recommend to friends.

Used Coast and country for 14 years and never been asked to bring own towels!

Had to go and buy some upon discovering this - reminders about everything except towels?! Apartment was good value for money but the soundproofing is poor and we were woken @ 5.30am each day by the flat above… not very relaxing! The mattresses are much too soft…

Only downside was the difficulty in getting to the car drop off area as access was tricky.

I think there should be more emphasis on this for elderly/nervous drivers.

The apartment is very spacious and well equipped but the noise from other apartments is so loud, you can hear every step above so a noisy family in there can be quite difficult at night.

Also the Wi-fi does not work in any room expect the hall. All that is needed is a couple of plug in boosters which don’t cost much. The DVD player does not work. There was dust on some surfaces and the en suite bathroom smells so needs an air freshener or diffuser in there. It was a lot of money so I would have expected it to be very clean and everything working. The area is great however and there are lovely restaurants locally. We would return to the area but not this property.

Excellent location and well equipped apartment.

Just a slight concern that the floors were slightly dirty (noticed on wearing white socks). It was clear the wooden floors had not been mopped recently. This didn't detract as everywhere else was very clean and we had a great stay in a fantastic location. Thanks for arranging the fantastic April weather !!

It was a great holiday the accommodation was spacious and homely and so near to the beach The only downside was the noise from upstairs which we expected from other reviews thinking it would not be too bad but its extremely noisy like people are coming through the ceiling so not much sleep.

which was a shame. Also found the kitchen was well equipped but hard to prepare food as knives etc need replacing for sharper ones . Otherwise thankyou for a lovely stay Debra

We had a great stay so close to all amenities with amazing coastal walks & views.

The accommodation was spot on plenty of room. Beds where a bit soft but that didn’t dampen our holiday, we would definitely go back again. Wi-fi kept cutting in & out to be honest that wasn’t a problem for us as when we go away we want to get away from everything but I can understand if you are on your phone a lot this would be a problem. Perfect peaceful holiday. I don’t think it would be as peaceful in the height of season. Great place would definitely recommend.

We really liked the position of our flat, so near the beach and able to go out and see the sea immediately.

Good to be have walks on your doorstep with fab views. If you park at the top of the hill you can park for free with a road right down to your appartment, very quick though road down is very steep. Quite hard to drop off luggage, but can be done with a bit of help! Lounge and kitchen were so roomy and filled with light. I slept in the lounge as double bedroom, although nice, was quite dark and lot of noise from cafe next door, didn't affect my husband, but I am a light sleeper.

Met expectations in so many ways and a beautiful property in a lovely little village.

However a few issues. In no particular order: 1. No spare key made security a challenge when separated. No phone signal made this harder (not that we expected good coverage in Hope Cove). 2. Wifi was next to non existent. No coverage in bedrooms or living spaces. Even standing right next to the router there was very limited coverage for browsing/messaging. Certainly not capable of any streaming. Interestingly other members of our family rented 'the moorings' and the wifi coverage at theirs was as good as we experience at home. 3. The cable for the DVD player (scart) did not fit the smart tv. As per issue 2 we were unable to watch any catch up etc. The purpose of our visit was other than to sit around watching films however, that would have been an option we would have liked in the evening.

The only problem was the people above us.

They sounded like they were marching up and down in boots, mainly later at night on a fairly regular basis and for a long time. Not good when trying to sleep. Also a fair amount of hammering went on one day. Hope cove is beautiful . Worth a visit.

Perfect apartment perfect location but very inconsiderate upstairs neighbours thumping about constantly and music blaring out till 3am not quite a relaxing holiday as we had hoped for

Highly recommend 2 Armada House in Hope Cove.

The location is perfect with beaches and South West Coastal Path just outside your door. The property is in excellent condition, clean and well equipped. Originally planned on staying in Salcombe but so glad we found this location and looking forward to returning next year. Nearby and within a 2 to 3 minute walk are multiple restaurants. Also, going in both directions on the Southwest Coastal Path are amazing walks. One direction leads to South Milton Sands beach(1 mile walk) and the other just stunning views of Hope Cove and beyond. Salcombe is a 15 minute drive, Also within 15 minutes is a Tesco and Morrison's.

Great apartment.

The only limitation is that one bedroom is adjacent to The Cove kitchen and the extractor fan from their kitchen. Thus it was noisy and smelled of fried food most of the time. Otherwise the apartment was excellent. The refuse collection failed, however the Salcombe office resolved this issue efficiently and effectively.

The apartment was very well equipped, clean and extremely well situated, I would definitely return to this beautiful place.

Lovely property,we were lucky and did'nt have anyone above us,which could cause a problem.Pub next door which is fine,however we visited in September,I'm not sure what it would be like in the middle of the summer.No parking with property which we were aware of,a parking permit would be good.We did try to contact the number in the car park but couldn't get a response.Hope cove is a beautiful part of Devon.Will definitely return.

2 Armada is in an excellent location and is very comfortable property for a family of 4, However, it is very noisy if the property above (5 Armada is occupied)
