    “Washing machine was so dirty would not use it.”

    Roasting tins old, we bought our own, crockery cracked and crackled. Internet kept going down so TV watching was frustrating.

    Thank you for your review. We are sorry with the issues but also that we weren't given the opportunity to address these points during your stay which I am sure we could have done. As stated in our guest information, the property is fully managed by coast and country and we request all guests report any concerns so they can be rectified immediately. In addition, they phoned upon your arrival, leaving a voicemail with details and followed up with an email but you didn't get in touch, for them to help. The property was checked by us at the beginning of the month and there was no cracked crockery, though as you can appreciate it’s not brand new for every guest and there may be some signs of use. Any broken crockery should be binned, with coast and country notified so we can replace for future guests. There was also a supply of brand new roasting tins at the beginning of the month. We would have ensured you were given others had we been given the opportunity to rectify. The internet is the fastest provision of fibre available in the area, and we have not had issues ourselves with it dropping out. As you would expect it's not as fast as a more urban area. We will monitor to see if the television is an issue. Perhaps the router needed a restart. If we are notified of further issues we can elevate to our service provider. The washing machine has marks on the rubber seal but shouldn’t have been dirty. The property was both cleaned and inspected prior to your arrival by coast and country, and we will liaise with them further on this. We hope that you had a good Christmas in Hope Cove and enjoyed the Christmas tree and hamper that were arranged for your stay. Property Owner

HOPE COVE

Salcombe 4.6 miles; Kingsbridge 5.1 miles

The picturesque and unspoiled village of Hope Cove lies in the sheltered curve of Bigbury Bay on Devon’s south coast. A choice destination for families, the two beaches offering soft sand and rock pools for sandcastle building and fishing for small crabs. The town remains a fishing village where crabs and lobsters are still landed, however it was once used by smugglers. Many ships have perished around the coast and the wrecks that lie beneath the waves make it a popular spot for divers. Above the beach there are a number of pubs and restaurants. The coastal footpath can be joined from here and leads towards Bigbury-on-sea in one direction and the coastal resort of Salcombe in the other.
