1 Bailey's Cottage

This is a lovely cottage, in a cute village close, to loads of great places to visit.

The cottage itself was wonderful, comfy, clean and with everything we needed. The owners have a real pride in it. There are a few steps, which didn’t bother us and despite other reviews we did not find it hard to locate. Opposite the post office there is a dark blue house, next to cream Chute Cottage, which in summer was covered in hanging baskets. There is a car parking space and small underpass, and just behind that you will see the steps to the rear courtyard, once up the first few steps, look left and the cottage is up a few more steps. Parking was a short walk up the hill and we always found a space even in August. We loved the comfy beds and the two separate bathrooms- perfect for sharing with friends or family. Our dog loved all the little pedestrian lanes to the rear of the courtyard. All in all a wonderful stay - we will be back. Thankyou

Everything was great.

The only comments would be that there was no black bag in the kitchen bin and the actual outside bin for rubbish collection is not easily located. The only other comment, pretty much the same as others is its difficult to find the cottage, lack of signage and that the parking (which we were aware of) was pretty hair raising each afternoon/evening, keeping our fingers crossed each day.

could do with a sign to show the way to cottage, obviously parking a bit of a issue but new that before are stay.

A lovely little cottage.

Great open plan living area and kitchen. Comfortable, clean and great position for exploring Devon and surrounding areas. Altogether a lovely week’s break with a great pub and restaurant nearby. My main criticism was finding it. No signage on the road. The directions said to go along the side of Shute Cottage but that sign was hidden with a hanging basket. The approach past the car parked in the driveway of Shute cottage is not ideal and you have to walk past the bins and rubbish. That area could be cleaned up quite a lot. Otherwise it’s a very quaint and great cottage to spend a holiday. My daughter and I had a lovely week together which we will never forget. Thank you.

We loved our stay at Bailey's Cottage, it had everything we needed and was a lovely home away from home, really cosy in a great location.

The cottage was really clean and well decorated, equipped and maintained We did struggle to find the property initially but once found it's location in the village was great! The bath was a lovely luxury. Only things that would have been better would be; bigger bath towels and firmer pillows. We loved our stay and would recommend to others and visit again.
