What guests are saying
First impression on driving onto the estate was uninviting.
The property overlooked, at the front, rows of owners garages in various states of poor repair and Awalek faced an old Ford Transit that looked as if it was destined for the breakers, The property did not display a number so it was difficult to locate. Plants had overgrown the path to the front door so getting in on a rainy day, of which we had a few, meant wet legs.Inside, at least 2 of the double glasing panels were blown one being the large panel on the patio doors to the rear garden. The grey throws on both setees really needed replacing. Every door had a fire door closer the one on the bathroom was badly adjusted, being really difficult to move and could easily trap a child. Inside the property was clean and warm although tired and badly maintained. The double bed was comfortable however the wardrobes smelt badly of must and unusable for fear of clothes smelling musty. We lived out of our suitcases all week. It really pains me to leave such a bad revue but we have not had a holday experience like this since the 70s and it certainly did not come up to the standard one should expect today.
Lovely and cosy little place on arrival.
With everything you need. Gorgeous view from the lounge windows. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. Nice white fluffy towels left for use. Really enjoyable stay. Parking is first come but was never an issue. Weather wasn’t great but didn’t spoil anything. 2 pubs in the village, The old Inn is best. Very nice lady who owns the property, lives next door always happy to chat but not intrusive in anyway. I would recommend this cottage and return if I was staying in this area again.
The property is in a quite area.
Good views from rear with a small garden and seating area. Easy to reach Salcombe and many other villages and coastal areas. A spacious living area and the bed was very comfortable. Everything worked as it should. There is an Asda Express less than 10 mins walk away. We enjoyed our stay here and would return to the same property.
