    The cottage was absolutely spotless and very comfortable. It was better in real life than the photos showed. The only small criticism is the wi-fi could be better. Maybe a satellite broadband solution could be the answer. But everything else was absolutely superb. Highly recommend.

The property

Stable End Cottage is located in a picturesque rural setting just half a mile from the village of Malborough and two miles from Salcombe's beautiful waterfront, shops, restaurants, cafes and the passenger ferry running to unspoilt sandy beaches.

The rugged South Devon coastline is just a short drive away with superb walks across to Bolberry Down close by. This tastefully furnished renovated barn enjoys far reaching views of the tranquil surrounding countryside from the main bedroom and terrace/garden.

The open plan kitchen is equipped with a fully fitted and stylish hardwood kitchen with modern appliances.

The open plan lounge / dining room has a TV, dining table and door out onto the private terrace where guests can enjoy al fresco dining in the summer sunshine.

On the first floor there is a super king bedroom room with an en-suite bathroom whilst a twin bedroom with adjacent shower room is on the ground floor.
