“Amazing little cottage, had everything you need and a great little garden.”
You go down some very tigh country roads so be prepared to get your car into tight spaces and scraping vegetation!
The only downside for us was the rule of no dogs downstairs, which we only found out in an emailed a week before arrival and had no chance of finding another place at short notice. We have it a go and alas our dog would not settle alone upstairs without us so we decided to sleep on the sofa pull out which you can imagine wasn't the most comfiest of sleeps. This should have been stated on the website before booking as we would likely not have booked the cottage of we had known of this rule, Sykes that ones on you. We understand no dogs on furniture but why not allowed in another room in the cottage where we likely dragged his doggy hairs downstairs with us regardless.
Depsite this the cottage was lovely, and we still enjoyed our stay and explored plenty of Devon and Cornwall.
Dear Lucie, so pleased that you loved our little cottage, and once again my apologies that you were not informed by Sykes of our request to guests that no dogs in the bedroom or on the furniture - we ask this for the benefit of our all guests as not everyone likes having dogs where they sleep. I hope you can understand this and sorry again that you were not aware.
Thank you though for leaving the cottage so clean and tidy - it is much appreciated, and I hope you will come back to visit this lovely area of South Devon again!
All the best, Katherine & Mark
