    Many thanks for your valuable feedback, we were sorry and disappointed to read your comments. The dehumidifier in the bedroom is only for use when the property is unoccupied for a period of a few days or more to prevent the build-up of damp. It would not normally be used when tenants are in occupation and we are sorry that it was left out for your arrival. Unfortunately, it had tripped out in the couple of weeks leading up to your booking hence the damp smell and slight mold on the walls. Following your departure, the affected areas were treated and have been redecorated. Due to the nature/location of these basement type rooms it is very difficult to control damp and the build-up of moisture other than regular decoration and the use of dehumidifiers. We will work closely with the owner to look into any other options that may help the situation. On a brighter note, we were pleased to hear that you loved the location of this property and we do hope that you had an enjoyable time exploring Salcombe and all this town has to offer. A beautiful, 19th Century terraced cottage, enjoying stunning views of the main anchorage towards Snapes Point and South Pool Creek beyond.

Boasting a bright and comfortable interior, the property also has an outside decked terrace from which you can relax and take in the views.

Situated in the heart of Salcombe town, with immediate access to the quayside, boutique shops, and restaurants, it’s perfect for those who want a cosy retreat in the hub of the town.

On the ground floor is the living room, which is a light and comfortably furnished room, with feature stone fireplace and TV/DVD unit.

The French doors lead to a decked terrace, with outdoor furniture and barbeque, perfect for al fresco dining.

The combined kitchen/dining area is well equipped (including gas hob, electric cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher), with a dining table seating four.

The property has two bedrooms, both of which are on the lower ground floor.

The master bedroom is a double en suite, whilst the second bedroom has twin beds and an en suite shower room.

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.

You are permitted to unload in Courtenay Street but NOT park as it is Residents Parking only and you will receive a parking ticket if you do so. Both bedrooms are located below ground level.
