    “Lovely stay, clean and well accomodated.”

    Mostly in the kitchen where there is plenty coming equipment and plates/glassware. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and the view is absolutely superb! A great stay.

The property

1D Harbour View is a wonderful property resting in the heart of the bustling coastal town of Salcombe, in the Devon countryside.

The property is situated over two floors and is accessed via a flight of stairs from the building's main entrance.

The Kingsbridge Estuary is within easy reach and is the ideal spot for getting involved with some watersporting opportunities such as surfing and kayaking.

Also nearby is the National Trust property of Overbeck's where you can explore their subtropical gardens and its lovely sea views.

Venture into the town centre of Salcombe, literally down the road and try some of its wonderful delicacies such as the nearby seafood restaurant with locally sourced produce.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
