    “Really enjoyed our stay.”

    Excellent location and comfortable, clean ,well equipped accommodation. Everything in walking distance, including a children’s park, spar shop. Salcombe town centre (albeit a hilly walk) itself has everything you can possible need - a good selection of shops, places to eat, coffee and ice cream etc… A longer walk to north sands is also highly recommended too. Hope to come back soon, thank you!

A brief walk up the hill will bring you to your nearest SPAR convenience shop where you can stock up on essentials, whilst the family friendly pubs of the Victoria Inn , The Ferry Inn and the Fortescue Inn can all be found within a short walk down into town.

During your stay, make sure you stop by the Salcombe Maritime Museum, create your own blend of gin at the Salcombe Distilling Company, enjoy a drink at Devon Rum or hop onto a ferry to neighbouring East Portlemouth, a quaint Devonshire village home to the idyllic spots of East Portlemouth Beach and Mill Bay.

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
