“We have stayed at The Salcombe apartments for many years, in many different apartments.”

It is the view, the parking and the pool which always bring us back! Sadly this appartment really did disappoint. The standard of cleaning was poor; we found dust, hairs, a dirty toilet, nail clippings on the balcony, a pair of dirty pjs on the wardrobe… but it was the general tiredness and grubbiness that really shocked me. The carpets, sofa and walls were all very grubby. Doorframes and skirting boards were dirty; the balcony furniture is rusting and very old. Generally, the apartment ...

Generally, the apartment was not of a five star standard at all and really didn’t reflect the price we’d paid for the week. The view is stunning and the pool is wonderful, and parking and a mooring makes it fantastic too. But this apartment was far from what we expected! Sadly after bringing this to Coast and Country’s attention, we were offered the cleaner to return and a £25 voucher. We’d already cleaned and it seemed pointless anyway as clearly the cleaner couldn’t change the carpets and furniture. The whole apartment needs a deep clean, new carpet and a good refresh! The washing machines weren’t working either and there seemed to be no one in the office to discuss this with. The grounds are having some work done so there is no direct access to the ferry steps currently.
