    “We have stayed at Horizon before and do like the apartment, however this time there were small things that hadn’t been done, which in the main didn’t affect us massively, but it was disappointing to see the standards slipping.”

    The small kids bedroom had no light bulb or lamp and used a completely non standard fitting so couldn’t be replaced. The front door handle was coming away and needed to be tightened back on. None of the clocks in the apartment had been changed and the heating was also an hour out. The place hadn’t been cleaned properly, we found bottle tops on the coffee tables and the dishwasher needed a good clean out. When emptying all of the bins, before leaving on Saturday, we discovered a half eaten sandwich in the master bedroom bin, which wasn’t ours. Overall we had a great holiday, but would recommend better attention to cleaning and preparation of the apartment before guests arrive.

The property

Horizon is a delightful luxury penthouse apartment with stunning sea views across to Thurlestone Rock from the rooftop terrace, situated within walking distance of Thurlestone’s beaches and amenities.

This is a second floor apartment with all accommodation on one level, beautifully presented and the perfect option for discerning couples or families with or without a dog. The property boasts a stylish kitchen/dining room, with French doors that lead onto a very secluded and sheltered roof terrace that faces South West and is ideal for sunbathing.

The roof terrace outside - accessible from the kitchen and lounge – has a table and chairs, and stunning views towards Thurlestone Rock.

The apartment is set in 1.5 acres of landscaped communal gardens including a sheltered sunken garden and barbecue area.

Parking is provided for one car, further free parking can be found in the nearby village.

Whether you are planning a seaside family holiday or a walking break with your partner and dog, this is exceptional accommodation in a superb location.
