    “We have stayed At The Beach for many years in various apartments, having stayed last September at No 1.”

    The apartment itself is lovely, it was clean and comfortable and we were greeted with a really nice Welcome Pack. For us the highlight of our holiday is sitting on the patio which is right on the doorstep of the beach and relaxing. However this was spoilt by the disgraceful state of the patio, it was so dirty I had to stop our dog sitting in various places so he wouldn't get dirty and take it into the apartment. The walls on the patio are cracked and dirty and need plastering and painting and ...

    The apartment itself is lovely, it was clean and comfortable and we were greeted with a really nice Welcome Pack. However this was spoilt by the disgraceful state of the patio, it was so dirty I had to stop our dog sitting in various places so he wouldn't get dirty and take it into the apartment. The walls on the patio are cracked and dirty and need plastering and painting and there were big weeds growing round the corner and a piece of wood lying around. This patio has been like this for as long as we can remember. I reported it last September and I was assured it would be cleaned, it had been cleaned a bit for our last visit but is bad as ever again. Under the table has never seen a brush!!! It is obvious that no maintenance is carried out on this patio as the two apartments next door are always clean in stark contrast to No 1. The patio is a big let down sadly. We won't stay in this apartment again but they are no longer allowing dogs anyway then again I wouldn't let my dog sit there again!!!

‘At the Beach’ is a stunning development of luxury apartments and cottages situated on the very edge of the sea at Slapton Sands, just a few yards from the beach, village pub and cafes.

A sympathetic transformation of the former ‘Torcross Hotel’, it’s a combination of Victorian elegance and modern day comfort.

1 At The Beach is a spacious, ground floor apartment, with sweeping views across Start Bay.

The open plan living area is stylish and contemporary, and boasts double French doors opening to a private terrace (with table and four chairs), directly overlooking Slapton beach.

There is a well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar extension, and round glass dining table, each seating four.

Comfortable living room with large sofa, tub chairs, TV/DVD, and a wall mounted electric fire.

Master suite enjoys sea views and double doors leading onto the terrace, a King-size bed with Vi-Spring mattress, and en suite bathroom with a spa bath, and separate shower.

Second bedroom also enjoys sea views, with King-size bed, flat screen TV and sofa.

In addition, there is a fully tiled shower room.

A superb location from which to enjoy the South West Coast Path and beyond, either on foot, by bicycle or car.

TORCROSS

Kingsbridge 7.7 miles; Torquay 23.4 miles.

Torcross is at the southern end of Slapton Sands, in the South Hams Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This area of coastline is a historic site where the Normandy landings were practiced, and is within easy reach of the towns of Kingsbridge and Salcombe. Slapton Sands is a 1.2 mile-long stretch of shingle beach, which is dog-friendly all year round. This area is fantastic for nature lovers, with Slapton Ley Nature Reserve adjacent to the beach.

Strictly 1 car permitted per property in a private space with nearby public parking available.

While the apartment is all on one level, there are four steps up to the main entrance door.


From 2025 this property no longer accepts dogs.
