    “This was our 6th stay at 1 At The Beach.”

    Overall we were very happy just a few niggles which we reported during our stay. Whilst we fully appreciate the terrible storms & impact on Torcross it was very disappointing & not very satisfactory that there is no longer decent comfortable patio furniture, in fact there is no table outside at all. Many lightbulbs need replacing & the washing machine broke down which again we reported.

    Thank you for being a regular guest at 1 At The Beach and for taking the time to provide feedback following your stay. We understand your disappointment regarding the patio furniture. Unfortunately, we were let down by the supplier we ordered the replacements from following the storms, and delivery was delayed, however we are pleased to confirm that the new furniture is now in place. We have confirmed with the changeover team that lightbulbs are checked regularly so apologies if you found some to need replacing during your stay. Thank you for bringing the washing machine error to our attention. Our maintenance team confirm the error is resolved and will not be an ongoing issue. The property

ā€˜At the Beach’ is a stunning development of luxury apartments and cottages situated on the very edge of the sea at Slapton Sands, just a few yards from the beach, village pub and cafes.

A sympathetic transformation of the former ā€˜Torcross Hotel’, it’s a combination of Victorian elegance and modern day comfort.

1 At The Beach is a spacious, ground floor apartment, with sweeping views across Start Bay.

The open plan living area is stylish and contemporary, and boasts double French doors opening to a private terrace (with table and four chairs), directly overlooking Slapton beach.

There is a well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar extension, and round glass dining table, each seating four.

Comfortable living room with large sofa, tub chairs, TV/DVD, and a wall mounted electric fire.

Master suite enjoys sea views and double doors leading onto the terrace, a King-size bed with Vi-Spring mattress, and en suite bathroom with a spa bath, and separate shower.

Second bedroom also enjoys sea views, with King-size bed, flat screen TV and sofa.

In addition, there is a fully tiled shower room.

A superb location from which to enjoy the South West Coast Path and beyond, either on foot, by bicycle or car.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.

TORCROSS

Kingsbridge 7.7 miles; Torquay 23.4 miles.

Torcross is at the southern end of Slapton Sands, in the South Hams Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This area of coastline is a historic site where the Normandy landings were practiced, and is within easy reach of the towns of Kingsbridge and Salcombe. Slapton Sands is a 1.2 mile-long stretch of shingle beach, which is dog-friendly all year round. This area is fantastic for nature lovers, with Slapton Ley Nature Reserve adjacent to the beach.

Strictly 1 car permitted per property in a private space with nearby public parking available.

While the apartment is all on one level, there are four steps up to the main entrance door.
