4 Burgh Island Causeway

Perfect just perfect!

Simply as good as it gets.

This was our second stay at number 4.

The property was extremely clean, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and is the perfect location for accessing the beach and Burgh Island. The property benefits from one of the larger balconies in the complex so you can enjoy relaxing outside too. Use of the pool and gym on site was also a bonus for rainy days. We will be booking again for next year.

We loved this ground floor apartment.

We have been coming to Bigbury on Sea for about 30 years. We have been in many of the other apartments and other cottages nearby. This was by far the best. Thank you for the cake. It went down well.

Loved the apartment!

It has the most amazing views and is very well equipped. The use of the gym, sauna and swimming pool is a bonus and is free when renting the apartment. We love that area and have been many times but never before hired the apartment. We will definitely be booking again as we were so impressed with it. We didn’t get the weather but still had a great week and we accept that that just part of holidaying in the UK. Also have to recommend Sykes as they kept us up to date with access and the travel there. We use this company a lot and have always been very pleased with them

Everything about the property, location for the beach, internal services was fantastic, the only downside was the lack of local pubs, eateries within walking distance, and the narrow lanes and roads, have put us off booking the property again, which is a shame.

Weather was perfect, the position was perfect and the apartment was very comfortable.

The balcony was quite the sun trap and looking out across the sand with Burgh Island opposite made it quite relaxing, with the entertainment on the beach as every dog seem to enjoy their freedom on the sand and in the water. If the apartment had been available for the ongoing week we would have stayed.

The property is absolutely perfect.

Modern, comfortable, spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished. The kitchen is extremely well fitted Luxurious little touches like soft, fluffy M&S towels, a powerful hairdryer, and beautiful Denby crockery. The location couldn’t be better and the cafe on site is excellent. We have stayed in two other apartments on the causeway and this is (in our opinion) the best!

Lovely stay in amazing, comfortable apartment.

Everything we needed to make our stay very special. Catered so well for grandchildren, dog and us, the grandparents! Beautiful views, with easy access to the beach, and excellent facilities available. Thank you for a lovely stay. We’d certainly would love to revisit.

It was amazing we couldn’t have picked a better location the apartment was everything we could have wished for and more at some point in the future we would love to return .

Fabulous apartment.

We were impressed with the light, bright and airy feel of the apartment. The beds and furniture were comfortable and modern. The rooms were uncluttered, but still had all the equipment and utensils you could need. The appliances were quality, however were easily negotiated without the need to read lengthy manuals before using. Sensible approach from owners, no need for numerous unnecessary instructions regarding stay. Our 17th stay at the causeway, but first time at no 4. It won't be our last!

A shower mat would be very welcome.

The shower cubicle is curiously very small in such a large bathroom space. We had a lovely time in this very comfortable flat - very relaxed, wonderful views and sunsets. The owner was very kind, helpful and accommodating when we asked for help to move from another flat into no 4 for a second week - we really appreciated that. Helpful Holidays were also brilliant at helping us with that, as was the lovely house keeper. Thank you so much, everyone. We can’t wait to go back!!

Thiis beautiful apartment had everything and more you could wish for.

The location is spectacular and the owner very pleasant and easy to communicate with although everything is very well explained in the information provided. We had a fabulous holiday at 4 Burgh Island Causeway. I would recommend it all day long

Thank you! Comfy bed, great kitchen facilities/appliances. Power shower. Perfect holiday spot! A black out blind in bedroom would be a great addition.

Really lovely apartment!

Comfort in all rooms ! Everything you could wish for in a relaxing environment! Feeling really recharged! Wardrobe doors and knobs need attention In bedroom just of the hall .lights in ceiling in kitchen flashing. And would like to point out that the Shell lights on windowsill in my opinion are a fire risk.

Very comfortable week in a delightful, well equipped and superbly located apartment.

Brilliant location had a great week

Lovely property in a superb location.

Great experience from start to finish. The only minor grumble is that the sauna is out of use being rebuilt.

The views of the causeway and sea from the living area windows was amazing.

The apartment was cosy and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The walks on the cliff tops accessible just outside the gate were an added bonus. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it.

Absolutely fabulous 30 seconds and you are on the beach breathtaking views to Burgh Island all lit up at night

The best apartment at Burgh Island Causeway!

I've stayed in a number of apartments here and this is the by far the best. It's got it's own private large terrace where the waves lap at the terrace wall at high tide. It literally is right on the beach. Most of the other apartments only have small balconies, so this made a real difference. The apartment has been modernised with a new kitchen and new bathrooms, whereas a lot of the apartments are a bit tired. It's tastefully decorated and really clean. It had everything we needed and we will certainly book to come back to this apartment, when we come back to Bigbury again. The indoor heated swimming pool and the restaurant are on site and both overlook the beach. We loved both. It's also got a gym and sauna but we didn't use those. It's got it's own parking space and there is plenty of visitor private parking spaces. The view of the beach and Burgh Island from the apartment is simply magical and as the apartment is right next to the beach, you can listen to the waves whilst you sleep.
