The calendar of Easter events in South Devon are all about having fun so expect a jam packed itinerary of egg-ceptional events, activities and celebrations.
As the Easter holidays appear on the horizon, we’ve compiled a list of some of the most fun and festive Easter events in South Devon you can expect to enjoy throughout the season. April 9th – April 19th
Woodlands theme park has a jam-packed Easter schedule this year. With activities ranging from Easter egg hunts and Easter bunny grotto, to Dino Days, Titan the Robot, science shows (not to mention slime making!) and Woodlands Supastarz entertainment, you will find yourself spoilt for choice! Overbeck’s, Salcombe
March 30th – April 13th
Overbeck’s are inviting all budding plant hunters to come explore the enchanted gardens, and take part in the ‘Rooted in Japan Easter family garden trail’. Complete the task and take home your very own Palm seedling as a reward! Normal admission charges apply, with an additional cost of £2.50 per child.
Greenway, near Galmpton
April 2nd – 19th
Become a wildlife detective and hunt for signs of animals in the garden at Greenway, making sure you have lots of fun exploring all areas. Take a map and follow the clues to point you in the right direction, once complete, you will find a delicious Cadbury’s chocolate treat waiting for you at the end! Normal admission charges apply, with an additional cost of £2.50 per child.
April 10th – 13th
Pennywell Farm is fabulously egg-stravagant, so expect to spend your time bottle feeding new arrivals, cuddling pigs, looking at the beautiful baby lambs and enjoying free tractor, train and go kart rides! With a full line up of daily activities there is so much to enjoy – expect live entertainment throughout Easter weekend, as well as an Easter egg hunt (available from Saturday 11th April until Monday 13th April)! What’s more, new for 2020 is the Pennywell Miniature Pony and Donkey Centre where you can wander into the paddocks and cuddle the family of miniature donkeys, or groom the pint size ponies. Pennywell Farm is a must-visit destination to have some much needed fun with all the family this Spring.
April 12th – 13th
Early spring is a fabulous time to see the South Devon Railway, with fresh buds beginning to show on trees and wildflowers emerging in abundance, so head to the railway this Easter and let off some steam. This year, South Devon Railway invites you for a weekend of nostalgia, where you will find heritage trains operating, a shunting demonstration, and best of all, the model engineering garden railway will be open. There will be an organised Easter egg hunt and lots of other children’s activities including vintage fairground attractions, and the railway’s London Transport Routemaster bus that is set to take passengers around the local area.

March 31st, April 1st / 7th / 8th
