With its warm sunshine, blooming daffodils and wildlife in abundance, spring starts early in South Devon. The calendar of Easter events in South Devon is brimming with activity and all about having fun, so expect a jam-packed itinerary of egg-ceptional events, activities and places to explore.
From traditional egg hunts, bonnet parades and egg rolling, to a cookie making workshop and even a light show illumination, you’re sure to find a variety of events to enjoy during your Easter break in South Devon.
5th- 27th April 2025
Greenway, near Galmpton
One of the most popular Easter egg hunts in South Devon takes place at Greenway each year. This family-friendly Easter egg trail meanders through the beautiful gardens, with 10 fun activities along the way. Normal admission charges apply, with an additional cost of £3.50 per child, which includes the trail sheet, bunny ears and a chocolate treat!

Coleton Fishacre, Kingswear
Just like at Greenway, this is another opportunity to see a stunning National Trust garden in South Devon, whilst the children enjoy an Easter egg hunt! Navigate the trail, complete the activities, and head home with your bunny ears and easter egg reward.
The cost is £3.50 per child, in addition to normal admission. This year, Coleton Fishacre celebrates its centenary, and with the Festival of Blossoms also taking place until the end of April, spring is a fabulous time to visit this country retreat.

Babbacombe Model Village illuminations

Babbacombe Model Village, Babbacombe
Looking for a fun-filled Easter scavenger hunt? Head to Babbacombe Model Village and enjoy a treasure hunt like no other. If they manage to find all of the colourful eggs hidden around Babbacombe Model Village, young successful explorers will receive a small chocolate treat.
What’s more, on 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th and 23rd April, Babbacombe Model Village will be hosting their magical illuminations. Come along and see the village spectacularly lit up. Opening hours are 10am-10pm, with lights on at 7.30pm and last entry at 8pm.

Aune Valley Meat Farm Shop, Loddiswell, Kingsbridge
Nestled in the rolling countryside of Loddiswell, you will find Aune Valley. This Easter they are hosting a wonderful cookie making workshop, especially for children! Kids can enjoy an afternoon of easter baking with the café’s head chef Rich, as well as a delicious lunch.
At Aune Valley you can also purchase all you need to cook a delicious Easter feast. With locally reared meats, fresh vegetables and a breadth of cheese, you really are spoilt for choice!

Pennywell Farm, Buckfastleigh
Make your Easter holidays egg-stra special with a trip to Pennywell Farm. Their egg-stravaganza is more than your average Easter egg hunt, and you’ll be in for a real treat at the end too. With thousands (yes, thousands!) of chocolate prizes up for grabs, an Easter trail, games and giveaways there’s something for all the family. Best of all, you will find the farm bouncing with young animals, all of which you can get up close with and, if you’re really lucky, enjoy a fluffy cuddle.

The Old Warehouse, Kingsbridge
Looking to party your way into the Easter weekend? Enjoy live music and local drinks at The Old Warehouse’s ‘All Folkin’ Week’ Beer and Music Festival. This week-long event includes a line up of talented local artists, as well as a garden marquee bar with a wide range of local beer and cider.
Other highlights of the festival include the ‘Festival Music Quiz’ on the Tuesday, as well as a delicious special festival menu available throughout the week.

Bounce into Easter at the Pigs Nose, as they celebrate their 25th annual Easter extravaganza. With over two decades’ experience hosting this Easter event, they are well versed when it comes to Easter – prepare yourself for an unrivalled day of family activities and springtime fun.
You can expect an array of things to do, suited to everyone from the littlest of bunnies to fully fledged grown-ups! The programme of events includes an extraordinary magician, Easter bonnet parade, boiled egg decorating competition, egg rolling race, Easter raffle and one of the most adventurous Easter egg hunts in South Devon. As the day winds down, Nick the Fish will serenade punters with his popular music, allowing everyone to merrily sway into the evening.

Woodlands Family Theme Park, Dartmouth
Famed for its waterslides, toboggan run and epic indoor and outdoor play areas, Woodlands Family Theme Park is a day out not to be missed – but did you know, it also plays host to one of the most popular Easter events in South Devon?
For 10 days, the park is home to the Easter Bunny’s Grotto! Little ones can explore the rabbit warren, tour the Easter Bunny’s house and discover the chocolate egg factory, before finally meeting the Easter Bunny.
