National Trust Easter Egg Hunt at Greenway

Inspired by the wonderful world of bees, Greenway’s Easter egg trail provides an opportunity to ‘look through a bee’s eyes’ and even dress up as a bee. During your time here you can also enjoy fun pop up talks from a local beekeeper. Normal admission charges apply, with an additional cost of £3.00 per child.

National Trust Easter Egg Hunt at Coleton Fishacre

23rd March – 14th April
Coleton Fishacre, Nr. Dartmouth

Navigate the Easter trail at Coleton Fishacre and interact with ten insect inspired activities. Uncover the incredible world of insects and marvel at the mighty skills they demonstrate in the natural world. Prices are £3 per trail participant, including an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and a chocolate egg. Booking is not required for the trail, and this event is particularly aimed at families.

Easter Egg Hunt at Aune Valley Meat Farm Shop, Butcher and Cafe

Aune Valley Meat Farm Shop, Loddiswell, Kingsbridge

Nestled in the rolling countryside of Loddiswell you will find Aune Valley. This Easter they are hosting a riddle-filled Easter egg hunt – join the fun by solving riddles, deciphering clues and unjumbling letters to reveal a seasonal word. Take your answer to the shop to retrieve a prize.

At Aune Valley you can also purchase all you need to cook a delicious Easter feast. With locally reared meats, fresh vegetables and a breadth of cheese, you really are spoilt for choice! The onsite Valley View Cafe is a local hotspot for foodies, and on the menu you will find Mary Berry accredited cake, breakfast and lunch options so be sure to arrive with rumbling tummies.

Easter Egglow at Kent’s Cavern

Kents Cavern, Torquay

If you’re in search of an Easter event with a slightly different twist, head to Kent’s Cavern and explore the caves, peppered with illuminated Easter eggs! We wonder just how many glowing eggs you and your family will be able to find? Whilst inside the caves, you can also learn about an array of rocks and minerals, perfect for interested adults or curious young minds.

The fun doesn’t stop there though. Outside of the caves, there is a wealth to explore. Why not navigate the woodland trail, take part in an ice age animal hunt, learn the skills needed to survive during the Stone Age, or use natural resources to build a shelter in the woods. For those feeling crafty, there is also a stone age craft zone, where little ones can craft their own mammoth or dig for gemstones and fossils in the sand.

All Folkin’ Week Beer & Music Festival

30th March – 5th April
The Old Warehouse, Kingsbridge

Looking to party your way into the Easter weekend? Enjoy live music and local drinks at The Old Warehouse’s ‘All Folkin’ Week’ Beer and Music Festival. This week-long event includes a line up of 11 talented local artists, as well as an outdoor bar dedicated to a wide range of local beer and cider.

The festival will also host the relaunch of The Old Warehouse’s award-winning Moonhoney Sparkling Mead, with products from a new range available to drink in-house or take away. You’ll also find the brewers, Sam and Tom, on hand during the day for tasting and ‘Meet the Brewers’ sessions.

Entry to all events is FREE, apart from the much-anticipated Rodney Branigan show (£8.50/ticket).


Wonderglow Light Trail at Dartington

Mad Hatter’s Travelling Tea Party

6th April – 7th April
South Devon Railway, Buckfastleigh Station

This Easter break, the South Devon Railway is hosting a wild and wonderful Mad Hatter’s Travelling Tea Party. Continuing the Alice in Wonderland theme, enjoy an immersive journey through the world of wonderland.

On your travels you will meet Alice, The Mad Hatter, the March Hare, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. Alice needs a little help to solve her mysterious riddle and bring herself and all onboard guests home from Wonderland. Whilst onboard, the inhabitants of Wonderland will delight you with their wondrous tales and welcome you as the most special guests at their tea party!

Enjoy cakes and cold drinks while keeping an ear open for the invisible Cheshire cat, who may provide hints and tips on how to solve the Hatter’s mysterious riddle. Don’t forget to remain on close watch for the Queen of Hearts – she’s in a frightful rage after someone stole her jam tarts!

You can expect an array of things to do, suited to everyone from the littlest of bunnies to fully fledged grown-ups! The programme of events includes an extraordinary magician, Easter bonnet parade, boiled egg decorating competition, egg rolling race, Easter raffle and an adventurous Easter egg hunt.
