LOCATION Courtenay Street is a narrow road running parallel to Fore Street and the town centre, just a minute or so walk from Salcombe's shops, restaurants and stunning waterfront - small passenger ferries run regularly from Salcombe harbour to the sandy beaches of East Portlemouth and South Sands nearby.  The property backs onto Courtenay Park, which has swings, slide and other games for younger children.
KITCHEN/DINING/SITTING ROOM The entrance hallway leads into the open-plan living accommodation with polished oak flooring throughout.  The fully fitted kitchen has a double electric oven, gas hob, microwave, American-style fridge/freezer, dishwasher and wine cooler.  A large glass dining table seats eight comfortably.  The cosy sitting room has two large sofas, widescreen TV with Freeview, DVD/CD player and feature fireplace with electric stove.  To the rear of the cottage (adjacent to the kitchen) is a UTILITY ROOM with washing machine and tumble drier. In addition there is a CLOAKROOM with w.c and wash-hand basin.
BEDROOMS Four in total.  On the first floor is an en suite double room with King-size bed, bedside units and door onto the decked terrace.  The en suite has a shower, w.c. and wash-hand basin. There is a further double room at this level also with King-size bed, beside tables, chest of drawers, built-in wardrobe and dressing table. On the second floor there are two further bedrooms, each with two single beds. N.B. All duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels supplied - tenants need to bring beach and tea towels.
BATH/SHOWER ROOMS In addition to the en suite shower room there is a family bathroom on the first floor with bath, separate shower, wash-hand basin and w.c.  There is also a shower room with w.c. and wash-hand basin adjacent to the second floor bedrooms.
OUTSIDE A passageway at the side of the cottage offers access to the back door and with steps leading upto the lower decked terrace with further steps leading up to a paved terrace with garden furniture, chiminea and Weber barbecue.

PARKING* A parking permit is provided for the long-stay car park.
OTHER INFORMATION Gas-fired central heating and hot water. Telephone available for incoming and local calls only. Wireless broadband internet available. Strictly no smoking or pets permitted.

The property was well presented and in an excellent location close to the sea front. Coast and country were very friendly and helpful and always on hand when problems or questions arose. The only negative was that the wi fi didn't work properly and it was not able to be fixed in the week.

Location excellent as where the facilities within the house - but there did seem to be a little damp downstairs and the two couches would benefit from a clean or upgrade.

A very convenient location, clean, tidy and well supplied with sheets and towels. A little cosy for 8, but we weren't in the house much and it worked perfectly for us. I would definitely return here.

Cottage was well equipped although could do with a new kettle and the pots were not partucluarly clean. We notified C & CC of these points. Cottage itself was clean and comfortable. Very convenient location for centre of Salcombe and walks from the door.
