The accommodation is all on one level and is an ideal base for couples or a family to explore the area.  There is a level terrace/balcony surrounding three sides of the property with seating, as well as a pleasant decking area and summer house with views across to Batson Creek and Snapes Point.

LOCATION A peaceful setting overlooking much of the town yet within just a ten minute (mostly downhill) walk of Salcombe's famous shops and waterfront.
VIEWS From the front of the property pleasant views over and across the town to Batson Creek and Snapes Point.
ENTRANCE/ HALLWAY With several coat hooks and space for shoes etc.
KITCHEN A good sized modern kitchen with fitted units, four-ring gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave. Small breakfast bar and door out to terrace.
LOUNGE/DINING ROOM Light and bright dual aspect room with new sofa, two easy chairs, flat screen digital TV/DVD, Sony stereo system, and coal effect gas fire with marble mantle and hearth. A modern glass dining table and four chairs sit in front of the large picture window to take in the view during dinner!
BEDROOMS The master bedroom has a King-size bed (new in 2017), bedside units and wardrobe. The good-sized second bedroom is a twin with two single beds. Both bedrooms have blackout blinds. N.B. All duvets, pillows and bed linen provided - tenants will require towels and tea towels.
BATHROOM Family bathroom with new bath, shower (over), wash-hand basin, w.c., shaver point and light, heated towel rail and Karndean flooring.
OUTSIDE Level terrace/balcony with stone slabs surrounding three sides of the property with seating. A flight of steps (c20) lead up from rear terrace to very pleasant decking and summer house with views across to Snapes Point. Table and chairs and barbeque available (further steps up to gate and direct access to/from Onslow Road).
PARKING Garage parking for one car (new from 2017) as well as space for a second car in front (on slight incline) 
OTHER INFORMATION Please note that there are approximately 40 steps/slope up to property from the garage/parking area.  Laminate flooring in lounge and hallway with carpet in both bedrooms. Gas fired central heating and hot water. Wireless broadband available.  Strictly no smoking but up to two well behaved dogs are permitted.

Really enjoyed our stay. The bungalow had everything you could want ( apart from a knife sharpener) was comfortable and nicely decorated. On a nice evening, great to sit out on the patio and take in the view. To get this lovely view, do note Rockmount is at the top of a very steep hill , steep steps leading up the property, with a very steep car parking space not for the faint hearted ! That said would still highly recommend staying there and you will be a little fitter by the end of you stay !

Overall the property was well equipped and in a great location. There are only two real issues that i believe need addressing. First is the description of parking. It's stated as a slight incline, but is very steep to the point of having to use stones as chocks to stop the car rolling into a neighbouring wall. The second is that the bungalow needs some updating as there was plaster and paint peeling off the kitchen walls and stained carpets in the bedroom. Also the ben linen and kitchen crockery was not very clean meaning we had to wash it before use.

Great location and views. Modest little bungalow but perfect base for exploring Salcombe and beyond as long as you're ok with the steep steps up to the front door. If it had a dishwasher we'd be giving 5 stars!

Lovely spacious bungalow, fabulous views, perfect base for a week in Salcombe. Previous reviews complained about the number of steps - you can only have such a view if you are high up and it was definitely worth the few steps. Only thing I would improve would be to have thicker curtains in the main bedroom as the early morning light came straight through the curtains - I know that's being picky!
