Perched high above the ruins of a tiny fishing village, Prospect House is a former hotel with a remarkable and romantic history, carefully restored and converted into stunning apartments and cottages in recent years. Many of the new properties have wonderful and dramatic sea views whilst all have access to the beautifully landscaped gardens, outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis courts and private parking.

Apartment 9 (Second Floor)

A light and sunny second floor apartment, presented in a stylish New England theme and furnished to a very high standard throughout. The accommodation, which boasts stunning sea views from both the master bedroom and open plan living area, is the perfect holiday retreat for discerning couples or family groups.

ACCOMMODATION A beautifully designed and tastefully furnished second floor apartment in a New England theme with stunning sea views. The entrance door leads into a good sized hallway which leads into all rooms.
KITCHEN/DINING/SITTING ROOM A very spacious, light and sunny living area built into the roof space with wonderful sea views and presented to a very high standard.  Fully-equipped kitchen with granite worktops, custom-made fitted units, range of Neff equipment including induction hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave and breakfast bar with three stools.  The dining area has a long table with six 'Cath Kidston' chairs.  The comfortable sitting area has a large modular sofa with funky cushions and footstool, coffee table, wall-mounted TV with Freeview, DVD player, iPod docking unit and retro telephone!  At the far end of the room a small round table and two chairs are strategically placed in front of the bay window to make the most of the view across the cliffs and out to sea, with the Start Point Lighthouse in the distance - a glazed door opens out to a Juliet balcony. 
BEDROOMS To the front of the apartment is an en suite double bedroom with King-size bed, wardrobe, drawers, TV and delightful sea views.  The en suite is beautifully designed with bath, shower (over), w.c., heated towel rail and vanity unit with wash-hand basin. The second double bedroom also has a King-size bed and views out to sea.  All duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels are supplied.  N.B. A third bedroom is available on request only for an additional £100.00 per week - this room has a single bed with wardrobe and drawers.  French doors from the third bedroom open to a Juliet balcony overlooking the rear gardens and swimming pool.
BATHROOMS In addition to the en suite above is a sunny shower room with shower unit, wash-hand basin, w.c. and heated towel rail.
OUTSIDE Communal gardens and terrace with spectacular sea views at the front of Prospect House - further landscaped gardens to the rear.
LEISURE FACILITIES Outdoor heated swimming pool (usually open from early May to late September each season) and all-weather tennis court.
PARKING For one car at the property plus visitor bays nearby
OTHER INFORMATION The property enjoys the benefit of gas central heating and hot water system. Broadband available.

“A unique apartment. A spacious, light and airy loft with wonderful sea views at the front and beautiful hillside views to the rear. The attractive Shaker styling suited the building, and the decor in all the rooms was well maintained. The kitchen was well appointed and had the best view of the sea. The dining/lounge was delightful, stylish and comfortable. Bathrooms were light and airy and well maintained as were the bedrooms. We paricularly enjoyed the view from the Juliette balcony, and the atmospheric lighting in the lounge. A delightful apartment , comfortable and a joy to return to in the evening.”

“This was our third time staying at the apartment in a row. We love it here and enjoy the peace the peace and quiet of the coast. We have particularly liked the swimming pool and the Cricket Inn at Beesands. We enjoyed the beaches too! We would highly recommend this well decorated, sunny accommodation to anyone who wanted to come over here.”

“Superb views. We have found our perfect destination. Fantastic apartment, spacious, clean, modern, well equipped with everything we could possibly need. We have had a very relaxing week (even with our children)! The pool is a great asset, we used it 6 out of 7 days. Enjoyed reading about the history of Hallsands and Prospect House. Thanks for a great stay, we will definitely be back. Recommend: Mattiscombe Beach, crab sandwich from Brittania in Beesands, salted caramel fudge from Edwards in Dartmouth.”
