ACCOMMODATION A delightful two-bedroomed barn conversion with private, off-road parking, equipped and furnished to a high standard throughout
LOCATION The Barn is set just a few yards back from the 'At The Beach' development (formerly the Torcross Hotel) in the heart of Torcross, a traditional village with an intriguing history and unspoiled shingle beach located at the end of a strip of land separating Slapton Ley freshwater lake from the Start Bay coastline. The property has quick access to the South West Coast Path as well as a useful local shop/Post Office, tea shop and pub renowned for fresh local fish dishes, all within easy walking distance. The famous naval town of Dartmouth is a leisurely 8 miles drive away whilst the beautiful sandy beaches of East Portlemouth and Blackpool Sands can each be reached by car in around 10-15 minutes.
ENTRANCE From the courtyard parking area (for At The Beach apartments only) the entrance leads directly into a hallway off which is the en suite master bedroom and UTILITY/CLOAKROOM with w.c., basin and washer/dryer. A winding ash staircase leads up to the first floor living accommodation.
KITCHEN/SITTING/DINING ROOM A delightfully light and sunny open plan room with high vaulted ceiling, original cross beams and skylights, and wireless Sonos sound system. The stylish, contemporary kitchen has an extensive range of soft-closing wall and base units and a beautiful central island with granite worktop and walnut infill. The range of equipment includes a four-ring Miele induction hob, two integrated ovens plus combi microwave, two integrated fridges, dishwasher, small freezer, four-slice toaster, Nespresso coffee machine and Quooker 'kettle tap' that produces boiling water on demand. The dining area has a table seating four comfortably. The central sitting area is comfortably furnished with a large L-shaped sofa, glass-topped coffee table, wall-mounted Smart TV, Playstation 3 (with some games and DVDs), and selection of board games.
EN SUITE BEDROOMS Two in total. On the ground floor is a particularly spacious master bedroom furnished with a super-King size oak-framed bed, matching bedside units, wardrobe and drawers, armchair and wall-mounted Smart TV. The sumptuous en suite bathroom has a lovely bath (with hand-held shower), separate shower cubicle (with both rainhead and hand-held attachment), wash hand basin with two drawers, w.c., heated towel rail and illuminated mirror. The second bedroom (on the first floor) has two oak-framed single beds, matching bedside units, wardrobe and drawers, and wall-mounted Smart TV. The en suite shower room has a large, walk-in cubicle, wash hand basin with two drawers, w.c., heated towel rail and illuminated mirror. N.B. All duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels are supplied - guests need to bring beach and tea towels
BABY FRIENDLY EQUIPMENT A travel cot and high chair are provided for young children
PARKING For one car in good sized garage (off main courtyard car park). Additional parking usually available in the village nearby - local charges may apply.
OTHER INFORMATION Attractive Karndean-like flooring throughout. Gas fired central heating and hot water. Strictly no smoking or pets permitted. Wireless broadband internet available. The owners provide a complementary welcome pack that includes fresh milk, coffee, tea and juice.

Had a problem with an electric garage door which broke on day 3. Very Cold cottage on arrival. But cottage had everything we needed and finished to a very high standard.

A very impressive property. Very clean and furnished to a very high standard. Everything you would need is provided. Could do with providing things like a quiche dish or something to make a Shepherds Pie in. I appreciate that not everyone wants to cook when on holiday but with children sometimes there is the need.
