Fairhaven

A lovely, spacious apartment split over two levels with a private outside seating area.

Tastefully decorated and very cosy, with lots of space for relaxing and entertaining. The main bathroom is excellent, but all the rooms are large and have a nice feeling. Centrally located, which is great for seeing the town. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy. The only minor criticism is that the bedding and mattresses could be of higher quality, but I appreciate that this is subjective. Other things to be aware of that are outside the control of the rental are the lack of easy parking (although this is only really an issue if there is more than one car), the untidy communal entrance, and lots of stairs!

We had a wonderful stay at Fairhaven.

It’s perfectly located in the centre of Dartmouth and a great base to explore the area. The property was spacious and comfortable, we can’t wait to return.

This was about our 15th visit to Dartmouth and Fairhaven has been the nicest accommodation we have stayed in.

The location is excellent right in the center of Dartmouth, and the facilities first class. The steps up to the second floor apartment are quite steep but for us that wasn’t a problem at all. The accommodation was superb, including well equipped kitchen, utility room, fantastic showers and a lovely bath. Totally recommend and we will be back

Nicely furnished apartment with all mod cons.

Great location within the town. Property was let down by the entrance and stairs up to the property (as others have mentioned) and the fact the bed was really uncomfortable and had cheap, thin pillows.

Lovely property, but had an issue with the cleanliness of the property when we checked in.

Contacted the owner and they arranged to have the property cleaned the next day.

Apartment is stylish, clean, bright & a perfect place to relax in. Beautifully decorated yet comfortable & bathroom spotless. Kitchen is well appointed & has everything you could need. The two steep flights of stairs never an issue for us but could be problematic for young children, buggies and the less mobile but this is prominently stated on C&C’s listing…our favourite place to stay in Dartmouth!!

The property is fantastic; beautifully decorated, well presented, comfortable furniture.

If I had any complaints (which are very minor) it’s that the ground floor entrance area doesn’t match the standard of the property and sets a poor start when you enter. Also some basic sundries like tea, coffee, sugar would go a long way too. Overall, an amazing stay, would absolutely come again and would recommend to anyone.

A delightful, central property.

It was very clean and well appointed. The stairs leading up to the property are narrow for carrying luggage but entering into the property makes the effort worthwhile. As a frequent Dartmouth visitor, I would highly recommend Fairhaven. As usual, excellent support from Coast and Country/Sykes.

Spacious, comfortable, beautifully appointed apartment - even better than photos depict. We enjoyed being right in the centre of Dartmouth. We didn’t want to leave! Fabulous week. Highly recommend.

My wife and I enjoyed our week staying at Fairhaven which is a spacious and comfortable apartment located in the centre of Dartmouth and close to local amenities including a mini supermarket a few yards away It is fully equipped with all mod cons which will suit in particular those who want to self-cater.

A couple of negatives. Overall the apartment was very clean and tidy however black mould on the grouting between some tiles in the main shower was unsightly and surprising to find. Cigarette ends (despite this being a no smoking apartment) discarded on the decking in the outdoor area had been overlooked. Finally a word of caution to anyone with a mobility issue. The stairs mentioned in the letting particulars are turning and fairly steep and can prove difficult to negotiate with cases.

Such a beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, tranquil haven right in the heart of Dartmouth.

The only downside to the property was the stairs when lugging luggage. Was only arr/dep so no biggy and would not deter us from returning

The property was fabulous.

Beautiful in a great location. The Coast and Country staff in Dartmouth were amazing. We arrived at the office needing a property at the last minute which they did and they sorted out a problem with the hot water immediately. Very impressed.

I would highly recommend the holiday property.

Holiday property was fantastic. Great location, very central, quiet at night (apart from hourly clock striking - not a problem for us), comfortable, spacious & light. Nice decor. Kitchen well equipped (needed a salad bowl) & bathrooms great. Only 2 criticisms. 1) the stairs & entrance hall were filthy. This has been commented on in reviews before. It would take 10-15 minutes at most to wipe the dust off the stairs & Hoover the front door mat. It was reminiscent of student flat days. Gave a bad first impression. 2) Pillows were cheap nylon ones with no pillow protector. Mine pillow was yellow & a bit yuk. Given that you are still asking people to strip their own beds because of covid (slightly surprised re this) it would be sensible to ensure pillows are not stained.

Everything was excellent in the property.

Very well stocked with everything you would need, beds comfortable. The only drawback for me was the stairs to appartment, they were steep and “spiral”, but this was all mentioned in the literature. The location was excellent.

Superb accommodation.

Great spot, great layout, great furnishings and design - loved the terrace. The only thing i would say is advertise the difficulties of getting luggage or anything of size to the apartment a bit more. Just so people can prepare. But not an issue to us. Thank you for a fantastic week

Super location and the photos don't do it justice.

Excellent facilities and great to have 2 bathrooms. Our only negative is that the bin sack in the hallway was full with extra bin bags on the floor when we arrived on the Saturday, and it wasn't emptied until Thursday meaning it was really smelly in the stairwell. Not sure if this was the normal collection day?

We have stayed in several properties over the years.

This was one of the best. Excellent location, beautifully furnished, top quality fittings, extremely well equipped.

This was our fourth stay at Fairhaven and it didn’t disappoint!

There were even a few improvements on the previous visit such as bedside units in the main bedroom and expanding airers in each room.

The accommodation was very good but was missing a few touches which would have made it excellent - replacement toilet rolls and a welcome pack, and the round door handles made a number of the doors difficult to open.

The location of the apartment is fantastic to explore Dartmouth.

The quality is superb, just recommend little tweaks like more cleaning products made available and extra bin bags. Apart from that it’s perfect!

It was exactly as stated on the pictures Good location, good parking around which are close to all amenities Good food places to eat from and friendly people.

Enjoyed it also Kids loved it as they had lots of activities to do would definitely go back Just have to make sure no heavy stuff as the stairs can be too much when going in or leaving We had to light pack but it meant so many trips But was worth the Accomodation

Excellent accommodation in a central location but due to Dartmouth being so busy, even with the car park permit it was often very difficult to find a parking spot and impossible to find an evening meal unless booked several weeks in advance.

The accommodation was excellent, it looked great on the photos but was even better in real life.

The rooms were all spotless and the facilities were excellent. It’s location was right in the centre of Dartmouth and we really couldn’t have asked for anymore. In terms of minor frustrations we were expecting a coffee machine and the use of a hair dryer (both mentioned on the site) neither was available. Not a major inconvenience but it may be worth amending the facilities section if not available. I also need to give a mention to the Seagulls - there are so many, again nothing to do with the property but there are literally hundreds and I can be a little noisy. We would definitely recommend our family and friends to stay here in the future. Thanks for letting us stay at your amazing property.

Beautiful spacious apartment in the centre of Dartmouth.

Clean and furnished to a high standard with a well equipped kitchen. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
