Stunning house in perfect location. Disappointed that the easter dates are given to the same family every year!
Coast and Country Cottages's reply:
Many thanks for your kind review of The Old Milking Shed in West Buckland.  We were delighted to read your lovely comments regarding this stunning house.  Your feedback in respect of Easter dates for next year is noted. Just to confirm we operate a re-book procedure for the convenience of returning guests - every guest who stays with us in 2018 has the option to re-book the same property for the same dates/holiday period in 2019.   The guest has two weeks from the date of departure to activate their request - if they don't exercise their option,  the week will then be made available to other guests.   In the meantime, we'll place your details in our re-book diary for the Easter dates for next year and will be in touch to advise if you have been successful.   Thanks again for leaving your feedback - we hope to welcome you back to this fantastic property again next year.

We were looking for a special place near Bantham beach that was baby and dog friendly. We called Coast and Country and they came up with The Old Milking Shed.. It was perfect. The Barn is spacious, beautifully renovated with all the mod cons. Beds are very comfy and all the bathrooms are very well designed. Loved the kitchen, great for entertaining! Thank you Coast and Country for all your help!

Lovely barn conversion in an excellent position close to Bantham beach and a few minutes walk to the local pub. No mobile phone coverage was not a problem for us and good wifi compensated. Kitchen facilities excellent. Frosted glass sliding doors to en suite may not suit everyone but the furnishings and bathroom fittings are first class.

Outstanding property, beautifully renovated and furnished, well worthy of its 5 star rating! Would suggest that the bedrooms have black-out blinds, (especially the master suite downstairs). Kitchen and dining area not particularly private as there were no blinds or curtains at the windows.

We were really delighted with our stay.  The owners were very friendly and offered us to let them know if we needed anything and to help ourselves to the wood for the fire. The house was wonderful.  We loved everything about it.  Very clean and stylish with good clean beds and nice brands used throughout for covers and cushions (these little touches mean a lot to me!).  The kitchen was well equipped and we made full use of it.  Even having a charged sweeper was such a useful touch for us as I do not like the floor getting messy with our dog.  We liked it so much that we have booked again for two weeks in July this year.  So that should say it all really. The only one thing that I did not bring as I thought would be already in the house was a hair dryer as in most of the other houses we have stayed in with you they have been supplied.  But I really can not fault it in any other way.  I will thoroughly recommend this to family and friends. 27th April 2016, Coast and Country Cottages says... The Owner thanks you for your feedback and states that there will be a hairdryer purchased for the property and ready for your next visit.

We spent a lovely week at the Old Milking Shed in February with our two young children. It has been newly converted to a very high standard. The kitchen is fantastic, and really well equipped. There was nothing we could think of that hadn't been provided, and it was fantastic to cook while listening to the inbuilt Sonos system. The lounge area was lovely and cosy, and we made good use of the log burner. The girls loved the big colouring book and selection of games that were provided. All the bedrooms are beautiful. They're really spacious, and have gorgeous en suite bathrooms. The beds are the most comfortable we'd ever slept in, and we loved the wool duvets! Bantham beach, which is a short walk down the lane is very picturesque. The barn is very well located for visiting local gems like Salcombe, Kingsbridge, and Hope Cove. There's a great selection of pubs and restaurants in the area, and loads of lovely walks on the South West Coast path. We loved it so much we have already re-booked for a week in the summer, and are looking forward to making full use of the gorgeous sun room.
