The Old Library is a uniquely styled and exquisitely presented holiday home, designed and furnished to the very highest standards throughout. The two-storey accommodation has been extensively remodelled in conjunction with Cheltenham-based Focus Interior Design to offer a luxurious retreat for two couples or a young family in a central location just a few short steps from Dartmouth's array of boutique shops, restaurants, cafes, art galleries and picturesque waterfront.

LOCATION Set at the end of Newcomen Road and within just a very short, mostly level, walk of the historic naval town of Dartmouth. There are a number of award-winning restaurants, delightful boutiques, art galleries, cosy cafes and beautiful gardens within easy reach, as well as a range of lovely boat trips up and down the delightful River Dart from the nearby harbour front.
ENTRANCE Two steps lead up from the arched doorway into a ground floor spacious hallway with rich wooden flooring, soft lighting and partially mirrored ceiling. A UTILITY ROOM accessed directly from the hallway houses a Bosch washing machine and tumble dryer.
BEDROOMS Two beautifully furnished boutique double bedrooms on the ground floor, both imaginatively decorated and with luxurious deep pile carpet. The master bedroom has a sumptuous King size bed, bedside chest tables with designer lamps, a small dressing table and stool, armchair, hanging and storage space, DAB/FM radio/iPod dock, and wall-mounted Smart TV. A glazed French door opens into a Juliet balcony overlooking nearby Lower Street. The elegant, contemporary en suite has a large walk-in shower (with overhead ceiling mounted and hand-held showers), wedge-shaped basin, w.c and heated towel rail. The second double bedroom is very similarly presented and furnished but the shower room is adjacent rather than en suite. (N.B. There is an additional, single room available on request only for child under 10 years of age. This room has a small 2'6" wide cabin bed, hanging space and shelving, iPod dock and wall-mounted TV). All duvets, pillows, high quality Egyptian cotton bed linen, bath and hand towels are supplied.
SHOWER ROOMS In addition to the en suite above is a fully tiled family shower room on the ground floor with walk-in shower, wash-hand basin, w.c. and heated towel rail.
'THE CAPTAINS GALLEY' Wooden stairs spiral up to the open plan living accommodation on the first floor. This spacious and elegant area has a nautical mood (hence the title!) and offers a wonderful environment for relaxing or entertaining. The central island with smooth granite worktop is cleverly constructed to include a large Miele induction hob (with hidden extraction), sink, integrated dishwasher and breakfast bar (with two stools) - the galley kitchen is completed by a range of hand-made wall-to-floor units with integrated Miele combination oven, steam oven and fridge/freezer. The dining area has a large round table (with matching granite top), an elegant semi-circle of comfortable padded seating as well as metal stools. Finally the sitting room has a double sofa, two designer armchairs, coffee table, freestanding iPod speakers, widescreen TV, DVD player and SMEG fire.
PARKING An annual parking pass is provided for the Mayors Avenue public car park 5-7 minutes walk away (subject to available spaces) / Dartmouth Park and Ride, for one car. Additional/alternative parking occasionally available nearby. Short term drop-off and collection is usually possible directly outside the property.
