“Cosy cottage, buried in the countryside.”

I thought it was perfect… Husband however grumbled about low beams/ doorways.. he’s tall. I don’t think low beams are mentioned in description.

Elworthy is 17th century so as most cottages of that age the ceilings are lower by design, im sorry your husband found them a problem, its more than often an attractive feature which people seem to love. Yes, its very peaceful tucked away in Batson with just a 15min walk along the side of the creek to the hustle and bustle of Salcombe and its lovely beaches, walks, shops and pubs etc. Property Owner

The property

Holding character and tradition from its thatched roof to its wooden beams, Elworthy is a traditional Grade II listed cottage, perfect for your family retreat to Salcombe, and only a 15 minute walk along the side of the creek into town.

Step inside to find a snug sitting room home to a woodburning stove, there's no better spot to spend an evening unwinding as the dinner simmers in the kitchen.

The kitchen is also home to a modest dining area where you can gather to discuss your plans for the day ahead while enjoying a delicious home-cooked meal.

When sleep calls, head up the stairs to find two bedrooms; consisting of a king-size room and a twin, it offers the perfect layout for a small family to rest before delving into action the next day.

Outside is a great spot to enjoy your morning coffee on the patio or alfresco dining straight from the barbecue in the summer months amongst the coastal breeze.

Enjoy a cup of coffee in the pretty garden and take in the views from the patio whilst soaking in the sun or relaxing in the hot tub, which you can hire direct from Salcombe Hot Tubs (at an additional cost).

Elworthy is a delight of a dwelling, a perfect base for enjoying the wonders of South Devon.

Also available is a Shepherds Hut that can accommodate two guests and is furnished with a 4' double bed, woodburning stove and wc.

This can be made available at an additional cost of £150 per week.
