Oyster Cottage is a charming terraced cottage tucked away on the outskirts of Salcombe.

The property, a pet-friendly Devon cottage, welcomes families, friends, and a well-behaved pet to explore the South Devon AONB.

Begin your vacation with ease by parking in one of three designated parking places and walk up a lovely path to your cottage entrance.

Leave your boots in the porch and be welcomed by cushioned sofas in the open-plan living/dining room; the space has been lovingly fitted with cottage-style furnishings, a smart TV, and a woodburning stove situated in a beautiful stone fireplace.

Set the table for six people while the appointed chef familiarises themselves with the kitchen's amenities, which include an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and coffee machine.

Before mounting the stairs to freshen up with a hot shower or bubble bath in the bathroom, throw your sandy towels or walking gear in the convenient washing machine.

Oyster Cottage is ideal for families or friends, with three stylish beamed bedrooms; 2 double rooms and with storage and white-washed stone feature walls, and a bunk bed that sleeps two.

You'll have a calm, pet-friendly rear garden to dine alfresco on the patio, play with the dog, or climb the stone steps to a hidden lawn area to sit and listen to the songbirds throughout the summer months.

Wander down to Batson and take a leisurely stroll along beautiful Batson Creek into Salcombe,to discover all of your amenities, and an array of pubs, eateries, and shops.

Salcombe's finest fresh crab and lobster is available daily, choose from a variety of restaurants for lunch after some retail therapy, enjoy a local gin or wine whilst you watch the boats in the estuary.

Partake in a masterclass at the local gin producers and distil your own bespoke recipe.

Local independant shops will tempt you with their clothes and housewares.

Foodies will love the choice of treats on offer at the artisan bakeries and delicatessans.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
